1. Object/function/variable naming guidelines   (12 May 2009)
I'm looking for some guidelines (or just opinions) about naming. All examples of RB code I can find, differ in when capitalization is used and/or in the clarity of names for objects, functions, variables and so on. This is just a very small selection of an awful lack of consistency I sense. When to use caps and when not? When to keep names very brief, like using strings called just 's', and when to come up with 'InterestinglyNamed'? Prefix it and make 'sInterestinglyNamed'? Shouldn't objects lik...

2. Capitalization and all that jazz   (19 Apr 2009)
We're diy-ing our invitations and we used a friend's photo quality printer to print them (all 50). So technically, they're already done; however, during the process of creating them I had some arguments with my "designer" (aka friend) about capitalization. He decided that proper grammar was the way to go. The way I've capitalized is exactly how it's printed, but now, the fact that the second line isn't capitalized looks like a mistake to me and is bugging the hell out of me. Am I being overly-pi...

3. Michael Bay Movies -   (12 Jun 2009)
Ive been thinking about this for a while now and this is the best place to ask the question. does anyone else think that Michael Bay the director is on our side? Ive watched all of his movies, and while they are usually vomit inducing in terms of its reliance on government, i feel they present us in a very good light while showing the niggers the way they really are. pearl harbor was great. had a white love story even though they told the nigger story with cuba gooding jr, they could have easily...

Depending on your field, your own standards will apply and are normally referenced on the face of the drawing. Some companies put it in the first general note, others place it in the title block information. Whether following ANSI/ASME, IEEE, or some other standards we all try to provide a united drawing method. The problems come in when...
