1. What do you think about what the Jets gave up to get Sanchez?   (25 Apr 2009)
The Cost Of Landing Sanchez Posted by Aaron Wilson on April 25, 2009, 5:11 p.m. The New York Jets made a power move to land USC quarterback Mark Sanchez with the fifth overall draft pick via a trade with the Cleveland Browns, and here are the details of the deal, courtesy of Adam Caplan of Scout.com. In exchange for the Browns’ fifth overall pick, the Jets shipped their first-round draft pick (No. 17 overall), second-round draft pick (52nd overall) as well as three players. The players are: safe...

2. Jets release Favre   (28 Apr 2009)
http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2009/04/n...ally_relea.html Notable only because you know he will eventually at least think about coming back even though he'd have to fix his shoulder.

3. Miles Austin Says Alot About Jets Draft   (11 Apr 2009)
Regardless of the opinions on Miles Austin's value, the fact the Jets are pursuing this tells me a few things. 1. The Jets are not enamored with the WR crop from the position they are sitting in. Anyone who thinks a 2nd round WR has a better chance of succeeding then Miles Austin, I have a bridge in NJ to sell you. It's cheap, and we can get it done today. PM me. 2. The Jets have no thoughts on taking a WR at 17. At 17, with Crabtree & Maclin prob gone, who are they going to take? I am not even...

4. The Jets Have Become the Ultimate Power in the Universe!!!   (04 May 2009)
Hi, this post is all about the Jets future, Mark Sanchez. This guy is awesome. My name is I28 and I can't stop thinking about the Jets. These guys are cool; and by cool, I mean totally sweet. Facts: 1. Sanchez doesn't read defenses... 2. You don't need experience to win 12-14 games... 3. The purpose of the Bart Scott is to flip out and kill people... The Jets can beat anyone they want! They've got unproven WRs, like David Clowney, that can score ALL the time and don't even think twice about it....

5. From now on, Tanny should really start thinking about stockpiling more picks...   (27 Apr 2009)
I love what he did these past 2 days. But teams build depth on their team through the draft by getting 7 players or so. The Jets haven't drafted 7 players under Tannenbaum. I realize he's been getting good players, and that's what's most important. But at this point, they need to start thinking about depth on the roster. Come next year, they need to start thinking a little bit more about quantity in my opinion.

There happen to be two veteran No. 1 wideouts on the market, and while the New York Giants - the Jets' co-tenants at the Meadowlands - have been repeatedly linked to Braylon Edwards, the Jets could be amongst the teams who will m...

7. Brian Baldinger: Ryan has already had impact on Jets -   (16 May 2009)
Ryan has already had impact on Jets http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/05/13/ryan...mpact-on-jets/ I spent some time with the Jets this week, and I came away thinking about where that team is headed. Coach Rex Ryan has an infectious attitude. When you talk to him and you’re around it, it’s palpable and it’s real. I think the players feel it, too. I think the Jets are having fun playing for Ryan already. With Ryan, it’s his defense, it’s his style. There’s nothing between Ryan and football that gets in th...

8. Cimini: What to watch at Jets' mandatory minicamp   (09 Jun 2009)
What to watch at Jets' mandatory minicamp June 8, 2009 http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/jet...-mandator.html A long and eventful offseason, which started with Eric Mangini's firing and included the Rex Ryan hiring, the Brett Favre retirement (ha!), a flurry of free-agent activity and the drafting of Mark Sanchez, will conclude this week with a three-day, full-squad minicamp in Flo P. This is a mandatory minicamp, which means every player under contract (plus rookies) is required to attend or be...

9. Jets Coach Goes from Army Commander to Sideline   (26 May 2009)
nice memorial day read - i didn't really know too much about this guy Jets Coach Goes from Army Commander to Sideline FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -- Ben Kotwica remembers the pinging of bullets bouncing off his Apache helicopter and the thumping of mortar rounds pounding into the ground around him. The vivid sounds, powerful reminders that he was far from any football stadium, are etched into his mind. "There are close calls, but you're doing your job," the New York Jets' special teams assistant coa...

10. Don Banks: NFL team of the decade: 2000s (Jets are 15th)   (05 Jun 2009)
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/don_banks/06/01/decade/index.html NFL team of the decade: 2000s By Don Banks Posted: Wednesday June 3, 2009 10:42AM; Updated: Wednesday June 3, 2009 11:52AM It may have slipped up on us all, but when training camps begin late next month, this decade's final NFL season will be at hand. Could there be a more natural starting point for the debate about which franchise deserves the league's team of the decade designation? My first impulse tells me it'll...
