What do you think about Heifer Project International?

If you don't know, Heifer provides livestock to people in poor areas. Chickens, goats, ducks, cows, etc, to be used for milk, babies, eggs and meat. I always thought it was a nice thing for *people* but I recently picked up a Heifer Project book at a used bookstore and some of the pictures of the animals were quite sad. One woman kept her goats in a raised cage so they couldn't destroy her crops, and one family lived in a shoddy apartment building and kept a COW on the roof. Sorry, I feel bad fo...

Opinions on domestic versus international sources

Hey guys..just wondering what your guys' opinion the pros and cons are of domestic sources versus international ones? I've heard that in the last few yrs after 09/11 that its WAY harder to get things through customs and across the borders. I would think that it'd be much safer going through a domestic source that doesn't have to go through customs or get anything mailed that could potentially be seized coming from Europe or Mexico. We are thinking about buying a timeshare at Polo Towers in Las Vegas. I see they are a member of Diamond Resorts International. I'm wondering if there are any DRI members that can tell me how easy it is to exchange to other DRI resorts - especially Hawaii. How happy are you the DRI company? So I know that pretty much all have done or are doing domestic adoption....did anyone think about doing international? Obviously each way has it's pros and cons but I curious why domestic was chosen. I had thought we would do domestic ourselves but after looking at another agency and doing some reading, I am now leaning towards international. International Warrant for Arrest - Leaving Debts Behind

OK I know there are plenty PLENTY of rumours going around as to what really happens if and when you leave your debts behind. One of them is that the UAE can issue an international warrant for your arrest, even for small amounts If so, what happens to UK/US citizens if they go on holiday?
Sounds a bit far fetched to me! Hence it being a rumour probably. Just was wondering what other people's opinions were!

I would like to know what my brothers and sisters in Christ out there in Rapture Ready land think about Compassion International.
Last week a woman spoke about it in our church and said that her and her husband had sponsored various children since 1966 and they were a wonderful organization.
