What do you think about the PC movement?
(11 Jun 2009)
I need to discuss something, and I was hoping to ask the opinions of those older and wiser than myself. Today in a discussion, I expressed my dislike the Political Correctness Movement in America today. I pointed out that I didn't think trying to legislate respect, tolerance, and understand between different cultures ever worked, as it only seems to breed resentment. I don't think people like to be told what they can and cannot think, which is what the PC movement seems to boil down to. Had I kn...

The more I think about Dr. Tiller's murderer

and the violent males in this movement, the more I believe that they are reacting to the base and animalistic urges of needing to, without consideration, impregnate every living female they encounter. Doctors who provide abortions thwart, on a primal level, their need to sow their seed.
It really is caveman behaviour.

Now personally, I think he didnt need to shoot the guy again, but at the same time, I probably wouldve done the sam...

Something for all the peace loveing pot-smokers to think about...
The 231 drug murders recorded in Ciudad Juarez in February dropped to 64 in March, the army says. But the number crept up to 81 in April and is already over 30 for the first week of May, according to police and media tallies.
Mexico's drug war death toll is running at around 2,300 people this year, slightly higher than at the same point in 2008. A record-breaking 5,612 people were executed in Mexico’s drug war in 2008.
Mexico's da...

2m defensive uses a year? Lets have a think about that ..
(02 Jun 2009)
Pro gunner A keeps stating there are 2 million defensive uses of guns in the US per year.
Pro gunner B said that a gun should only be pointed at someone EVER if you're prepared to fire.
Pro gunner C said that a gun should only ever be used if you are in significant risk of serious or life threatening assault.
Let's me generous to the pro-gunners, and say only 80% of the 'crimes' stopped by these 'defensive guns' would have otherwise happened.
ONE of the below must, logically, be true
1) Without...

Will Obama prosecute Abbas for murder?
(23 May 2009)
Now that the President has opened the door to prosecuting Bush Admin officials for legal opinions allowing torturing Al Quaeda operatives, it would be ironic if he didn't also prosecute Palestinian leader Abbas for funding the murder of David Berger, the American born member of the Israeli Olympic team slaughtered in Munich in 1972.

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) ―
Dr. George Tiller, one of the nation's few providers of late-term abortions despite decades of protests and attacks, was shot and killed Sunday in a church where he was serving as an usher.
The gunman fled, but a 51-year-old suspect was detained some 170 miles away in suburban Kansas City three hours after the shooting, Wichita Deputy Police Chief Tom Stolz said.
Although Stolz refused to release the man's name, Johnson County sh...
