1. Miss California.   (21 Apr 2009)
Okay, so are you all updated on this? If not, watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LPv9L6sy5c Okay, I'm not looking at this at the political side of things. I understand that she believes marriage should be between a man and a woman. But the way she executed it was in such poor taste. You can say you don't agree with GLBTQ without being disrespectful, condescending, or rude. There are ways to handle it with grace. Opinions on the execution, not the statement ?

2. Miss California Controversy   (05 May 2009)
I don't know if anyone of you guys watched Miss California USA contest but what happened was that during the question and answer period one of the finalist,Carrie Prejean was asked "What she thinks about same sex marriage " and her response was, "We live in a land that you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And you know what in my country, in my family I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody there, but that's how I was rai...

3. Miss California Carrie Prejean !!!   (21 Apr 2009)
Wow, I am amazed that being in front of a gay judge, she still had the, "testicular fortitude" to stand-up and state her opinion. And they failed her based on her opinions and beliefs. Sounds like a role reversal on a Prop 6 issue. Flame on flamers (No pun intended) Miss California . . . .

4. Miss California USA Carrie Prejean may lose her crown because of some semi...   (07 May 2009)
http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/05/07/california.miss.california/index.html LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- A second lingerie-modeling photo of Miss California USA Carrie Prejean has appeared after she assured pageant officials this week that the earlier shot was the only one she had appeared in. Miss California USA Carrie Prejean may lose her crown because of some semi-nude photos she appeared in.  The Web site that published the first picture published a second one Wednesday. It had already p...

5. Miss California and that question   (26 Apr 2009)
I can't help thinking that the question itself was an odd one to ask. The beauty queen answered with her opinion honestly. I don't see why she should have felt she had to lie. Do you agree with Gay Marraige and if not would you have dared to say so when asked on National television?

6. Miss california gets to keep her crown.   (12 May 2009)
When you ask someone their opinion on something sometimes you agree with their opinion and sometimes you don't. You have to be prepared for this. If you aren't prepared for an answer you disagree with you shouldn't ask said question in the first place. However this isn't what happened. Those gay people got mad and tried to take her crown away from her. They came up with some sexy pictures which were not all that revealing by todays standards and tried to influence the judges to strip her of her...

7. Miss California: Gay marriage answer cost me Miss USA crown   (21 Apr 2009)
Well- this is interesting. I'm certainly no fan of Perez Hilton, but I certainly understand why he did what he did. Substitute the word "gay" for "jew" or "catholic" and see how that sounds. Quote: : Miss California says candor cost her the crown in Sunday's Miss USA competition. Carrie Prejean, 21, probably knew she was in trouble when she acknowledged her opposition to same-sex marriages in response to a question from openly gay judge Perez Hilton, the celebrity blogger. "In my country, and in...

8. Miss Calif: Gay marriage answer cost me Miss USA crown   (21 Apr 2009)
Source: Newsday Miss California says candor cost her the crown in Sunday's Miss USA competition. "In my country, and in my family, I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman," Prejean replied. Later, she lost to Miss North Carolina. "It did cost me my crown," Prejean said of her response, on Monday's "Billy Bush Show." "I wouldn't have had it any other way. I said what I feel. I stated an opinion that was true to myself and that's all I can do." "That's not the kind of woman I...

9. The Miss USA "controversy"   (21 Apr 2009)
Quote: As the nation's premier commentators on beauty pageantry, it is incumbent on us to note what happened last night in the Miss USA contest. Miss North Carolina won, with Miss California second. Miss California, Carrie Prejean, was, as you can see, a formidable competitor: (IMG: http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/assets_c/2009/04/MissCalifornia221-thumb-150x161.jpg ) At the eleventh hour, however, controversy erupted. One of the of the judges, the flagrantly gay Perez Hilton--put aside, f...

10. Miss California   (15 May 2009)
For those of you living under a rock: During the recent Miss Universe Pageant, Miss California was asked her thoughts on gay marriage. She said she was against it. Caused a bit of a stir. Later, semi-nude photos of her showed up. (Gasp!) I could care less about the "nude" photographs. They are a total non-issue for me. As to her antiquated views on Gay Marriage, she simply reflects an attitude of ignorance and hate. Too bad. But, really why do we give a flying damn about what a BEAUTY PAGEANT CO...
