1. The GOP is trying to claim 'individual freedom and liberty' as their new ...   (05 May 2009)
We don't want any party in power forever. The GOP needs to change it's platform, get rid of the religious nuts and focus on fiscal restraint and get the hell out of biology, sex and reproduction.

2. Why can't Mr. Leip just change the colors of Republicans and Democrats?   (16 Jun 2009)
I'm surprised I haven't seen a post on this yet.  Yeah Yeah I read the disclaimer on the homepage.  I think the guy running this site...his name is Dave Leip, right? Even so, why can't he just shut down the website for as long as it takes to change the colors?  The BLUE Republicans and RED Democrats are really starting to mess with my mind.  If time is really such an issue, maybe he could hire an expert web designer or something? I don't mean to be rude but that's just the way I see it.  YES, I...

3. Power of democrats   (03 Jun 2009)
Ok, I was thinking about this the other day but didn't get a chance to post. Keep in mind that these were random thoughts sort of strung together very crudely. I was thinking about why democrats have been so successful in elections even when they have nothing to show good cause to be elected. I am thinking that their strength lies in their stupidity. Not necessarily the ones being elected, but the ones voting. The first presidential election that I remember was Bush vs Clinton. I remember hearin...

4. What do you think about political parties?   (05 May 2009)
I personally do not like any political parties. They are all corrupt in their own rights. I personally like GeargeWashingtons view on political parties. He basically sums up what is happening to america right now. How everybody in washington is corrupt, YES EVEN OBAMA. Coservstives, liberals, republicans, and democrats i think we should do away with all the political parties and instill a true people's government.

5. Are the Democrats planning the public option "beyond" Medicare and Medicaid...   (02 Jul 2009)
I read part of the following article with surprise, guess I was thinking it would just be expanding Medicare and making some changes...or at least along those lines. Maybe I am reading it wrong, maybe it doesn't matter...but just surprised. I think there has to be competition, or no progress will be lasting. Many people on Medicare now would be uninsurable because of their age and illnesses. I guess, though, if they have another "public option" set up....it would have the policy of allowing anyo...

What Did Democrats Really Know About Bush's Torture Program? Written by Jason Leopold Friday, 17 April 2009 14:04 By Jason Leopold One day after the Obama administration released four gruesome Bush-era legal opinions that described in shocking detail the torturous methods CIA interrogators were permitted to use to extract information from alleged “high-value” detainees, a majority of Democrats have remained collectively silent on whether the disclosures warrant a full-scale criminal investigatio...

Democrats Call for Impeachment of Judge Who Justified Interrogation Tactics Jay Bybee, one of the lawyers who wrote the opinions justifying the Bush-era interrogation tactics, is now a federal judge in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Democrats want that to change. FOXNews.com Some Democrats in Congress are having a tough time convincing President Obama, as well as their colleagues, to form an independent "truth" commission to probe the evolution of interrogation tactics under the Bush administ...

9. Democrats Have 60 Votes. What Will They Do With Them?   (30 Jun 2009)
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/ezra-klein/2009/06/dem... Democrats Have 60 Votes. What Will They Do With Them? Ezra Klein In a 5-0 decision earlier today, the Minnesota Supreme Court ruled that "Al Franken received the highest number of votes legally cast and is entitled under Minn. Stat. § 204C.40 (2008) to receive the certificate of election as United States Senator from the State of Minnesota." That gives the Democrats 60 votes in the Senate. Enough, in theory, to overcome the filibuster. I...
