server abuse at limestonenetwork and data restore
(16 Apr 2009)
hi,
I'd like to ask for opinions to all reader the situation I have.
We have server in limestonenetwork for couple months, everything good until several abuse issues to our IP for several times recently. Based on instruction from Ryan A., Abuse Department Manager, I have suspend/terminate the suspected accounts in timely manner, each time there's abuse issue.
But today surprisingly, they terminate our server immediately without prior notification. I fully understand that this is my fault not to...

(21 May 2009)
I had a virus on 9300 and had to restore laptop to its original settings. I am thinking about adding another gig or two of RAM to it. Will I notice an increase in speed? Is there a site online that shows where the RAM go? I was thinking of buying it from crucial..do u recommend another site? I'd also like to upgrade its DVD burner. It currently burns DVD-Rs at 1x or 2x. What DVD-/+ RW drives work with 9300 on XP? Is there a site that shows the steps to upgrade?

(27 May 2009)
My system specs are emachines t6524, AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500+, 2GB RAM, BFG 9600GT 512MB. My question is should i upgrade my cpu to a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+* 2.5 GHz? Its the best cpu my motherboard supports. Will it make much of a diffrence in game performance? Is a cpu easy to install andwill i have to restore my computer or anything like that?I found it for 50 bucks so it seems cheap. Any answers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

To restore or not Restore-that is the question, whether 'tis nobler to suffer...
(01 May 2009)
Following on from my post I've been doing a fair bit of thinking about my car and the merits of 'restoring' it.
Its made me ponder the mind-set of owners who renovate & restore cars when its obvious to them that the expense is more than the actual car will be worth?.
Is it the love of a particular car or model the crux of classic car ownership? or the desire to make new that which is not, ignoring the economics of it, chasing the ideal/dream of an old car that drives and appears as new?.
Any vie...

Rec this thread if you want to restore the '¢' key to its rightful spot on...
(27 May 2009)
Whatever happened to the "¢" key?!?
I've noticed that people have to write "My $0.02" or "My 2 cents" when they are sharing one of their revered, closely-held opinions. Both of these options are outrageously burdensome. You'd think in this crazy space-age world of the future we'd have some kind of internet shorthand to indicate cents, akin to 'LOL', 'WTF' or 'OMGZ'.
What displaced the humble '¢' from its position along the top row of the keyboard? I personally blame '^', or perhaps even '!', whi...

Question about restore database and create new fil
(29 Apr 2009)
Recently, I am moving a database from one server to another server due
to the storage issue. The existing database is about 30G, all tables
are in one filegroup and one primary data file.
I want to create separated filegroups and data files to re-organize
the whole database. My question is what is the best way to do that?
One way I can restore the database still to one filegroup and one data
file, then I add filegroups and data files to the restored database,
then alter tables to move to differe...

Thinking about selling a '65 Skylark, but at what price?
(01 Jun 2009)
About 10 years ago, I came across a '65 Skylark for sale and bought it to restore someday. I haven't be able to start on it YET and am now considering letting it move on to somebody who can restore it before the sun burns out.
If I'm going to put it up for sale, can anybody tell me what a reasonable asking price would be?
Since it looks as if the college-kid I bought it from pulled out the engine and replaced it with a 70's model, I don't consider this a numbers-matching car.
Here are some pics....

Restore or hybrid?
(04 May 2009)
So I have this 87 KDX200 that I found abandoned in the desert. I've been thinking about a restoration with possibly a KX fork upgrade. But now I'm kinda thinking about finding a KX125 frame and building a hybrid. This bike is going to be for fun only, riding desert and single track. I *might* enter it into an occasional hare scramble just for fun, but the YZ is really my main race bike.
The 87 has not been cared for at all, so I'm going to need to go through it all - forks, shock, link/swingarm...
