Opinions please - Bucket Seat Foam Condition

So I pulled out my bucket seats from storage today to inspect and start thinking about recovering.
I pulled the first set of covers off, then the second! These came out of a 73 plus balzer.
This is what I found. I'd like to recover with 72 covers.
What do y'all think about the condition of the foam?

I wonder if one of you guys with stock bucket seats in your 64-65 Skylark could do be a favor?
I am converting from bench to buckets, and I need to make sure the seats I've picked up are going to fit the new upolstery. I've gotten all kinds of opinions and ideas from various sources about GM seat sizes and now with the latest opinion....I'm not sure.
Could somebody with stock buckets do some measurements for me? I think the size of the base is the most important, but any other measurements that...

trip bypass w/ coil bucket set up?

So I have a 93 ranger 4.0, i bought it about 5 years ago with a front end containing 4 over bent/ extended beams with f150 coil bucket set up. pulling 15-16 inches and the rear has a 3 link with coil dual rate coil over and pulls close to 30 inches...
When i bought the truck i was thinking i can always just get a coil over and engine cage for the front end, but i have NO complaints on how the truck handles and as soon as people ride they are shocked on how well it pulls too...

83 Euro 240D purchase opinions

Hey Guys,
So I went and looked at an 83 Eurospec 240D 4 speed manual over the weekend. I'd like your guys opinions.
The engine has 110k on it and runs nicely. On inspection of the motor I did see that the injectors looked like they were wet from fresh fuel and he couldnt provide me any explanation for that. Transmission shifts good, but it feels like when its in third if I get on the gas and let off and keep my hand on the shifter it feels like it wants to pop out of third.

questions about engine build

my engine needs a rebuild. i have a blue top.
i still want to pass smog.
i was thinking about a pretty much stock engine with stock (9.4:1) cr, 264/8.1 cams (tomei/toda) , and .8 trd hg.
1. Would it be better to delete the tvis? i read somewhere the performance from the 264 cams makes the tvis "redundant".
2. Would i need to run under bucket shims for 8.1 lift?
3. Can i still use the stock cam gears?
any opinions appreciated.

Hello,
I want to get opinions on my idea.
Plan-
Get a little bucket 3g
Put 2 pumps in the bucket, One intake / 1 return
A crap load of Macro, + my heator and a Little light on top of the bucket.
Still thinking about,, what type of tubing, also and how to make it so fish dont get sucked into intake,
also how to make it preety(Display tank)
It seems preety simple and gettto so im guessing some1 already though of this...
