Do you play any sports?
I used to be quite the semi athlete at School...Footy, Rugby, Cricket...after school in my later years I played in the local footy leagues. Over in the USA I was once asked to coach a local side in Wadesboro N.C in 'soccer' but turned it down 'cos tbh I saw all the crap that coaches n managers take and though 'Screw that' lol...also it didn't pay hardly anything. I have been working on this for quite a while actually, and I have about 285 pages to show for it. The people I have shown it too all seem to enjoy it and want to read more, but since they are friends I always feel that they are obligated to make me feel better. I just wanted to know some stranger's opinions.

Short piece from the first novel I've been slowly making through my senior year of high school. My major concern is how I write, for high school has surprisingly not done much; the internet has been where it's at for me. I just have a feeling my semi colons, commas, etc are just all off.
If someone has the time to read this, it is 300ish words in the fantasy-based novel. I was hoping someone could tell me if my past tense- present tense is alright, if my grammar overall is alright, and anything...
