What do you think about the mainstream media labeling "tax day tea parties" as out of control Republican Right Wing Racist Whackos, demonstrating against Obama? I'd even heard about a few women afraid to participate, because the courts would allow it to be used against them in custody hearings.

Okay so to start of with, I live in new zealand. So it isn't that serious here. There is about 30 confirmed cases and 400 suspected. But i think that the media are making a big deal about it. Let me show you why i think so.
Take the swine flu and the common flu.
In about 2 months, The swine flu has made about 700,000 cases world wide.
Yet the flu has about 4,000,000 cases world wide also.
The swine flu has killed about 500.
The common flu kills about 100 or more a day

Thinking about replacing AppleTV with MacMini

I've been thinking really hard lately about replacing the AppleTV with the MacMini. I am going to use it to watch movies, tv shows and occasionally use the internet. I have a few concerns and questions about doing this.
My first question is which MacMini should I get? Is there one that would be better? I'm looking into getting a refurbished one. How much RAM do I need? I'm not worried about the hard drive space because I will be using an external 1TB for most movies. The main difference between...

Vista Media Center, OR, XP Media Center? Which is the better choice?

I've been setting up a computer to be a media hub in my house.
Currently I've got Windows XP SP3 as the operating system.
We've been watching a lot of hulu, and now streaming netflix, etc. . .
Also using it to look at pics, listen to music.
I want to have Windows Media Center.
The question is should I go w/ Vista Home Premium, or get XP Media Center Edition, which I've found is still readily available.
I have an Intel Core Duo 1.8Ghz, and 2GB of DDR2 (1066 I believe), and a nVidia 9600GT 512MB G...

music media player - need opinions

I am trying to decide the best music player for large playlist or doing family functions, thus meaning a large playlist playing mp3's and cd's, this could be regular or dj software, no scratching just regular playing with a possible fade in and out ( like the dj sound board to switch for cd player to cd player)
