thinking about getting new cpu and have some questions...

My system specs are emachines t6524, AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500+, 2GB RAM, BFG 9600GT 512MB. My question is should i upgrade my cpu to a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+* 2.5 GHz? Its the best cpu my motherboard supports. Will it make much of a diffrence in game performance?Is a cpu easy to install andwill i have to restore my computer or anything like that?I found it for 50 bucks so it seems cheap. Any answers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Looks like the Intel Pentium E5300 for everything else but gaming were the Athlon X2 7850 excels.
So what do you guys think about this chip from AMD?
Edit: I must be blind the Athlon X2 7850 over all does better than the Pentium E5300 that's what I get for jumping to the conclusion.

amd athlon x2 7750+ black edition, anyone?

Aight so i'm building myself a new computer atm and decided to go for an amd 7750+ 2,7 ghz processor due to its very reasonable price(don't feel that it's time for a quad just yet).
The only game i want to be playing atm is warhammer online and since warhammer online is a very cpu dependant game i would like to know if anyone have any experience with the 7750+ or a similar amd cpu model.
My friend plays war on a 9800gt and a 2,1 ghz amd dual core processor with pretty bad result, he gets as low...

So I was here asking about building a non-gaming, cheap build for myself.
I am wondering what you guys think about this potential trade... I don't game. Just Office, iTunes, torrents, light Photoshop for fun, etc...

As stated in the title I'm going to buy myself an Alienware Aurora - I'm sick of worrying about the requirements of games etc, and I want to be in a good place for future games. Hello everybody,
I was hoping to get some suggestions or opinions on OCing my system. Now before I get into it, I must tell you I am a poor, starving, college student, with less than negative money (that's -$0), so I would prefer comments that aren't "just go buy a new computer". I can't. I'm broke. I'm looking for comments and opinions that have to do with what I have. I'm trying to work with what I got. That being said, here's what I got:

This will play L2 occasionally but will not be my main PC. So looking for opinions on what would be the best combo:
