I'm thinking about trying my first multi-color dye...
(05 Jul 2009)
And I was hoping for some advice. This is what I want to dye:
The problem is I can't figure out the best way to do it. If I do the blue first and then have to do the yellow, what's the best way to line up the second stencil? What I'm thinking is that it would be easiest to just cut it after the vinyl is already on the disc, but I don't really want to risk cutting through to the disc if I can help it.
Can any of you guys help me out here?

(27 May 2009)
Here is my proposed set-up for ganged/separate antennas for multiple TVs, located on Hamilton Mountain for Buffalo, Hamilton, and Toronto OTA stations: Top antenna is a 4228HD pointed (east) at my most difficult station- FOX 29 Bottom antenna will be a 4221HD pointed north to Toronto. The distance between antennas will be 3 feet Both antennas will be hacked for improved performance Top antenna will be have a preamp (7778, gain of 26db) and coax into house and then power injector Lower antenna wi...

Multi-lingual, Multi Country, Improving Without Spamming?
(12 May 2009)
We have a client with a multi lingual website (spanish, english, portuges, german, dutch, french), the website targets the whole of Europe and has the intention of reaching clients of all nationalisties throughout Europe. Aka Spannish speaking people in France, German speaking in Spain, but also English in the UK, etcetera. Main target area (for the moment) is Spain, but their intention is to grow and act global.
The multi lingual/multi country set up is essential to the of the website (it uses...

Multi effect pedals
(24 Apr 2009)
I'm currently toying with the idea of getting a multi-effect guitar pedal for recording into my laptop (via edirol ua25). Had a bit of a blast with a Vox tonelab and found it confusing and chock full of sounds that were not really what i was after. I'm after something with good clean effects/delay/compressor/chorus etc. I tried a pod x2 the other day - found it pretty easy to use, good distorted sounds but a bit limited in it's control of individual effects. Any opinions on the Korg stuff? Or ma...

Why So Few Multis on SF Bay?
(20 Apr 2009)
Yo Multi-Haulers,
After watching that great A-Cat video on the front page a few days ago, I'm thinking about getting a catamaran. Any suggestions for SF? Am I out of my mind for thinking about a double-handed Farallones on a beach cat? Can you single-hand a Hobie Tiger? Why are there so few multis on the bay?

Multi-dog leashes vs. separate leashes?
(10 Jun 2009)
Are multi-dog leashes easier than separate leashes? Please give me your thoughts on, and/or recommendations for, multi-dog leashes. [personal specs, and probably too much information, inside]
My family has three dogs of varying sizes and temperaments. I am the designated dog-walker, and I usually walk them all at the same time, using separate leashes, by holding the leash for the larger dog (a boxer) in one hand and the leashes for the two smaller dogs (a terrier/beagle mix and a terrier/poodle...

Opinions needed on multi-level class....
(11 Jun 2009)
Our school has decided that due to declining population, they are going to have multilevel classes for grades 1 and 2 next year. I originally thought they'd have one full grade one, one full grade 2 and one split 1/2. But nope - they are having three splits of 1/2. The current grade 1 teachers and one of the grade 2 teachers will all have a 1/2 split. (the other grade 2 teacher is retiring)
Now, logically you'd think they'd try to mix it up so the kids are mixed up with different kids and with a...

why 360 multiplats will always look better then ps3 multi
(15 Jun 2009)
Has nothing to do with architecture, think about how much ram is available for each system. The 360 will always have slightly more to work with since it's OS takes up less space, more efficient ram, and the 10mb edram for free AA. More ram = sharper textures or more diverse textures, more models being loaded on screen at once...
Regardless of processing power, 360 can run sligthly more at any given time, thus always giving it the edge.

Multi-WAN router?
(16 Apr 2009)
My cable internet provider, COX, sucks. I'm always getting disconnected at the worst times. As someone who runs a home biz, this is detrimental. I don't want to completely switch to DSL because it's not as fast, so I was thinking about going with a multi-WAN router and connecting it to cable and a cheap DSL service for backup. Any of you smart techie folks recommend a good stable multi-WAN router? I'd prefer something under $400.
