1. ESPN Insider - Thinking about trading Jose Reyes   (25 May 2009)
Quote: The Mets are looking pretty good right now, but John Harper wondered last week about the Mets' next move , should they fail yet again to make the playoffs this year. Reyes The myth the Mets have tried to sell everyone the last couple of years is that Jose Reyes is still young, that he'll stop making bonehead plays when he matures as a major leaguer. Only it's faulty logic any way you want to dissect it. For one thing, in baseball terms Reyes is not young at all anymore. He'll be 26 in a f...

2. Poore will stay put....think about it.   (20 May 2009)
Why would he go to the Sharks? They have publicly stated they don't know if they will be around in 18 months time. Yes the Leagues club have guaranteed the contract for Poore, but the footy team might not be here in 18 months. Poorey seems to love playing and I don't know if he'd want the hassle of finding a new club in 18 months. The Eels, seriously, why would anyone go there at the moment? No chance of winning a comp in the near future. And he stated he doesn't want to travel too far, Parra is...

3. Omar should think about this trade....   (03 Jul 2009)
I found this on Metsgeek .com Quote: : Josh Willingham, OF, Washington Nationals, Age 30 .408 wOBA, 1.2 WAR Nationals GM Mike Rizzo is not a fan of previous GM Jim Bowden’s player acquisitions. Lastings Milledge was shipped out, and Adam Dunn and Willingham have also fallen out of favor. The Nationals are the worst defensive team in the majors, and their stone-footed outfielders are a major reason why. This opens the door for another buy-low trade. Willingham is in the midst of a career year at...

4. Minor leaguer performs major league bat trick, Real or Fake?   (19 Jun 2009)
Quote: : If some mad genius ever creates a rodeo for baseball, his or her first call should be to the man in this video, Josh Womack, who currently plays for the Long Beach Armada of the independent Golden Baseball League. Womack, a second-round pick of the Mariners in 2002, didn't have enough success with them to advance beyond Class A (other than some apparently token at-bats) before being let go in '08. That he is batting .293/.387/.402 for the Armada this season in a league that features the...

5. Dynasty Leaguers...Trading Brandon Marshall?   (18 Jun 2009)
Marshall is my #3 WR in a PPR dynasty behind Fitz and Megatron. We can play 3 or 4 WR's. I've been getting offers for Marshall since the beginning of last year and have shot every single one down. One of the owners in my league has been the most aggressive. Every offer he makes centers on sending me Roy Williams for Marshall. There are others involved also, but so far, I've said no to all. At this point, between his injuries, his off-field issues, and now his holdout, I am getting to the point w...

6. Article on D-Leaguers in Playoffs (Several Rockets Mentioned)   (08 Jun 2009)
Breaking It Down - The Latest Reed and Write Quote: : I don't think we linked to it before, but I want to talk about D-League President Dan Reed's latest "Reed and Write," in which he lists his top 10 NBA playoff performers who used to play in the D-League. The contributions of former D-League players probably got more attention in the previous round, with Dahntay Jones and Chris Andersen both playing significant roles, for the Denver Nuggets, but both the Lakers and Magic (along with several ot...

7. Scouting playable/view only leagues   (14 Apr 2009)
I've loaded England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain as playable leagues and Belgium, Holland, Portugal and Scotland as view-only. When I assign my scouts to a playable league, they return hundreds of scouted players while when scouting a view-only league they return just about ten or even less results. At first I thought it was down to the difference (small one) in my scouts' JPA/JPP. But when the same scout had the same results, I thought maybe I'm missing something. What do you think about t...

8. Charter Standard leagues   (22 Apr 2009)
Great news ( ) ive landed the job at our league of investigating "Charter League Status" Any one know of any existing leagues or whom/where to go for advice ? All opinions greatly receieved

9. Valley View Spring Leagues   (26 May 2009)
Hello Spring Leaguers ... Just letting everyone know that the plan is to start the 10 week spring league on Wednesday, April 8th. The Park's Department will likely put the baskets back in the ground sometime between the 1st and the 8th. Spring league will be the best 8 out of 10 weeks and we'll probably do double points nights on the 5th and 10th weeks. We are also thinking about some other fun and exciting side games and league formats such as 2 disc night, pick your own groups, etc. Registrati...
