Well since both games are out now, i'd like to see peoples opinions on which game has the better tennis experience.
I just bought Grand Slam Tennis today with the WM+. It was kinda hard to get use to the controls and not waggling (too much Wii Sports Tennis). However its a really fun game once you do get use to the controls.
I also like the use of cartoony graphics over realistic. Ive see screenshots of Virtua Tennis 2009 and the jaggys were really painful, for 360 and PS3 the graphics were reas...

i love playing tennis. I play it as much as i can. but when i cant play tennis, i think about playing table tennis but never tried. I was wondering if table tennis helps you play tennis better? if anybody has any suggestions or advice it would be greatly appreciated.Thanks BTW i am new to this forum.

I was thinking about getting this game, but i tried the sonic tennis game for wii and if its like that its just rubbish. So is the game any fun? Replay value?

Lack of American Tennis Players

What does everyone think about the lack of american tennis players. In America we have courts everywhere, yet a small country like Spain puts out world class tennis players like a Pepsi bottling plant. Its amazing to see these small countries put out multiple players--given the land mass of the United States-you would think that there would be a huge amount of tennis given the population of the country despite sup par interest in the game across the nation. Andy T's thread got me thinking about a database for women's tennis finals. It would have to be a group project, but I think it's possible.
I think it's best to stop at 1983 , since it's the year the women finally united all the main events in a world tour.
I need ideas on a good format. Any ideas are welcome.

Does anyone here feel like tennis is more than a sport, exercise, or a pastime? Like it's a way of life, an obsession, almost like... a drug? It's like that with me. People on this forum talk all the time about how Federer or Nadal is the greatest or lamest, from shoes to boos, the fact is that this forum is obsessed with the two. My question is, what would tennis BE without the two of them? Would we consider people like Roddick or Murray to be AMAZING and rave about their GOAT possibilities? What about the game itself? North America,the US specifically, has been so strong for decades,as well as the western Europe.However,as tennis gets more popularized worldwide,Russia and some Eastern european countries become strong enough to compete with some traditional powers.And some new comers such as China,India,Japan,S America now are also showing some signals to be competitors.So,what do you think about the development in the next ten years?
