These Refs sucks, are they blind!!:Re: These Refs sucks, are they blind!!...
(26 May 2009)
Oh, okay. Thanks, Lakers5388.
I think Jones pushed Kobe in the back 2 times in Game 3. I don't know if he got something for one of the fouls he had in Game 2, where he got 4 real quick fouls and was taken out of the game.
The NBA League Officials have been very busy this season looking at tape and rescinding fouls.
Are they also thinking about docking the pay of the REFS making these outlandish foul calls? This is rhetorical because they haven't mentioned anything in public about what they will...

Whats your opinion regarding the N.B.As flagrant foul review process.
(29 May 2009)
I was just sitting here thinking about that foul that Jones committed on Kobe Bryant the referees completely missed that call and no whistle was blown, however the NBA went back and reviewed the play and then issued a flagrant foul to Jones. My stance on this rule is that I do not agree with it at all if a player is able to get away with something then they deserve to get away with it, now please do not take that opinion the wrong way as I strongly believe that their is any room for dirty play i...

Party foul, or reason for jihad?

Party foul, or unforgivable etiquette breach?
My best friend was having a birthday party, and my present to her this year was going to be a decorated cake . (Sorry, no pictures of the finished cake...reason to follow.)
So, for about two weeks, I got ready for this cake; trying different recipes to get the flavor she wanted (it was a chai spice butter cake, with hazelnut cream cheese icing), I made tons of sugar flowers, flow-in butterflies, fondant bees, etc.,etc. Most of the cake parts had to b...

(15 May 2009)
howdy all - i'm having a little trouble and would like some opinions on what the cause may be.
background: the bike in question is a 71 r75, 83,xxx mi, i bought it last spring and it had sat for about 16 years since last being used. i did a big service including carbs rebuilt, plug wires, points, fluids, cables, valve adjust, etc. the bike came to life and i put about 3,000 mi on it last year. i also replaced the crank case breather because i was getting an oil drip from the right carb intake tu...

Andy Roddick's Complaints-Fair or Foul
(01 Jun 2009)
During the Monfils match, Roddick was obviously upset about how late the match started and went, complaining to the tourney ref that he couldn't see the ball. Bringing up how he "doesn't normally miss those" on volleys. And of course, going at the chair umpire. Was it fair complaint or just frustration at being down 2-0? Your opinion.

Foul/Severe weather and Through-Hiking
(09 Jun 2009)
A severe line of storms is passing over almost the entire AT this morning from VT through MD. I always think about the through hikers on days like this. Several were hospitalized a week or 2 ago in NJ, I think, having been hit by lightning.
I have never spent an extended period of time wet "in the trenches". Camping, backpacking or in battle. Worst case for me has been a day or 2 of wet weather and then out of the woods or able to dry out in the woods. Lightning and rain is yet another reason I...

Dry fouling suggestions?
(26 May 2009)
Hi all - been busy moving so this was the first weekend I got to spend some quality time with the BFG. Engine and diff oil changes were fine, but when I pulled the #2 plug to take a look it looked a bit like the top picture (but not quite as bad):
NEW PICS IN POST #6 AND (56K = DEATH)
So I'm thinking I need to change plugs. What should I change to? Also, I've been thinking about going to the MSD ignition setup but not sure it's worth the time and trouble when the OEM setup works. Any thoughts?

Celtics' Rondo won't face punishment for hard foul
(30 Apr 2009)
The NBA said Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo won't be penalized for his hard foul on Chicago's Brad Miller in the closing seconds of Game 5.
NBA commissioner David Stern said Wednesday night in Atlanta before the Hawks-Miami Heat game that no flagrant foul call on Rondo was the right call.
"I was in Orlando, but I was reliably informed it was not a flagrant foul," Stern said. "Our referees do the best they can in these situations."
As result of the NBA's position, there will be no fine or...

The nba playoffs -question
(02 May 2009)
anyone else severly turned off by the fighting ? Flagrant Fouls ? the obvious " I can whip you" type BS . I have --the game sucks --it's a sideshow to the personalities. Don't get me wrong --I'd rather watch reruns of WEC fights or UFC or Tuff or any mma over hoops right now. so I have no problem with violence. But the art of scoring/moving/thinking has evaporated to such small levels the game just isn't enjoyable to me anymore --It's like streetball with millionaires . To me it looks like a moc...
