I am thinking about getting this as my backup plan fo my PC. I have lost lots of data because eiter my PC crashes or I do something so totally stupid like deleting all my pics because I wasn't paying attention to what the info box said. So this is going to be my summer gift to myself.

I've always been a stickler for backups...and right now, I'm restoring one.
For the first time in over 5 years, I'm having to restore my F6100 program in the mat cutter.
I had two versions of the program in there...and somehow using the newer one corrupted the old one (it basically stripped the program and called it a 'demo' deleting files as it loaded) and ruined my configuration file. I'm pretty sure this happened because I renamed my new F6100 directory...which must've been a real no-no.

Backup Utilities

After searching on the web, I found and downloaded two free backup utilities. Before installing either one, I would like some more opinions about each. If there is one out there that you like better, please feel free to mention it.
I downloaded both Easeus Disk Copy 2.3 and Macrium Reflect Free Edition 4.2

I need some sort of battery backup for the iphone, as im always running out by 9pm each night.
iZAP looks ok, but there are so many of them. Any opinions on the best???
THere are cheap $5-$10 ones on ebay that use AAs too

I have a backup NAS from FDC but it uses FTP only.
Anyone use ftp backup with hypervm?
How do you set it up?
I'm thinking about using fun plug on the backup NAS but not sure if FDC allow it.

After my L-A-S-T catastrophic loss of my hard-earned data, I have spent a lot of time researching backups and online backup services. In doing so, something kept crawling up my spine I couldn't identify until today...
There was not a single word on including online backups in a last will and testament!
The obligatory search on Google for "online backups and your last will and testament" yielded not a single hit on this subject that I could detect, of course your mileage may vary.

So I have a new iMac (with 1TB HD) coming in within the next couple days. I want to finally buckle down and do backup right this time, what's the best backup system I can buy? I was thinking about just getting a 1TB MyBook or Time Capsule drive and setting up Time Machine on it.
Is that ideal, or is there a better system to use?

I have a launch Elite which has a Falcon chip i assume? It already RROD'd on me once. I'm pretty sure that Microsoft sent me back the same console too. So i'm thinking about picking up the new 60 gb Pro to have as a backup. For $300 dollars it wouldn't hurt my wallet too bad. I am considering this because i really don't want to be left without a 360 for a few weeks the next time my Elite dies, if it happens to.
