RMC Picture wah vs. Area 51 opinions please
(04 May 2009)
Let me preface this by saying this is tied to another post from me. I sold my picture wah bacause I thought it was a little noisy in favor of a clyde deluxe. Plus the clyde deluxe has those couple extra options. Well I think I made a mistake and am considering going back to the picture wah. But... stumbled upon the Area 51 here on the gear page. The clips on the side sound really really good.
Since I have already owned a picture wah I would love to hear more about the area 51 and if possible, fr...

Price Opinions
(08 Jun 2009)
Let me preface my question with the following disclosure; I don't want to get yelled at, start a fight, get smart a*s responses, told to quit or you should know this etc.
I have been in landscaping for a while, worked at a nursery, for a landscape maintenance/install company, have some college credits in horticulture. I work full time but landscaping is my passion. I figure why not do it and get paid for it since its one of the things I absolutely love.
The question I have, I guess, is relative...

"Marriage advise needed...relates to guns, so opinions will probably vary...
(03 Jun 2009)
I'll start off by saying that I really love my husband. We've been together since we were 17 and we just had our 10 year wedding anniversary. (We got married at 21) We've grown up together and we have two incredible kids. The fact that I like him so much makes this situation all the harder.
I'll preface the situation by saying that I really don't like guns. That's probably not a strong enough way for me to put it. I hate them. I'm scared of them. I knew several people in high school (four) that...

Seeking opinions/advice on my "vintage" Surround Sound setup
(15 Apr 2009)
Hello all -
I found your forum here because whenever I would search for info about the speakers I've been shopping for, I come upon discussions here that are very helpful. So, I thought I'd post about my situation to get your thoughts.
Let me preface all of it by noting that I am really not much of an audiophile, so don't critique me too harshly . . .
I'm building a sort of garage/workshop in which there will be a second story dedicated to a home theater. I'm putting together the audio component...

Marketing Brief
(13 Jun 2009)
I'd like to preface this email with a couple thoughts. I'd like to
apologize for not continuing the brainstorming discussion in recent weeks,
but something John said made me take a different approach. John's right - a
lot of this has been discussed before. With that thought, I decided to
write a Marketing Brief. I used content that was in the wiki, on the web,
and my own thoughts and opinions.
I'm currently at a docs conference, and one of our keynote speakers said
something, that basically sums...

How Old Are You Members?
(30 Jun 2009)
I really don't care! End of that preface of invitation. Okay?
When I found this "trappers" site/forum for the first time, I think about six years ago, I registered under the influence of the invitation under the cloak of this sign for an invitation to join - el pronto:
Walla! I am a 60+ year old kid. Why not sign up?
That registering has expanded my horizons in the glean of my humble pokes in the interim.
In 13 days I will own 67 years on this planet as an experienced elder, as a hobbyist trappe...

Has anyone taken their kids to a Chiropractor?
(14 May 2009)
We have been seeing one recently for my youngest son...he has a variety of "issues," the main one being that it seems that his equilibrium might be a bit off because he is so clumsy. In addition to this, he is easily crabby and irritated because he is so uncoordinated (he's 2). He isn't speaking yet, but his older brother has been diagnosed with Speech Apraxia, so I'm not surprised. Our OT suggested maybe seeing a chiro for his clumsiness and demeanor, and she did preface it by "she didn't know...

ART MPA Gold -- 300v switch? Please explain...
(27 May 2009)
Preface: From my limited electronics and guitar amp knowledge I think I understand what a "starved plate" circuit design is and why it isn't desired if you want the tube to do its intended job. I am also beyond thinking that anything tube will " insert vague marketing terms here " my sound.
Onto the question:
After doing some reading I've come to the conclusion that an ART MPA Gold could be a very useful tool in my studio due to its variable impedence options (which I've never gotten to experien...
