Tokina 11-16 f2.8 used opinions:
(10 May 2009)
I'm considering going and looking at a Tokina 11-16 f2.8 used for 495 this weekend. It's a bit of a drive on top of being used. It's at a dealer and obviously I'm going to try it out to make sure it's a good copy, they have it as a 9/10 condition wise but I haven't seen it in person. Retail seems to be around 599, but no one seems to have the lens at that price. The cheapest I've seen in stock was in the high 600s. Any thoughts on this lens/price and any alternatives? The 12-24 f4 constant is ab...

Nikon 80-200 f2.8 AF-S:
(07 Apr 2009)
Hi
I'm thinking of selling my 70-200 f2.8 VR to replace it with a 80-200 f2.8 AF-S. What price should I expect to pay for the 80-200 in mint condition. I don't need any opinions on what I'm doing thanks as I'm well aware of the pros and cons of the two lenses.
Cheers
Al

SMC K 24 F2.8 Quality and price:
(11 Apr 2009)
Hi,
I'm thinking about buying the Panasonic GH1 this summer and use my Pentax glass with and adapter. Since the camera has an 2x crop factor I'm looking for a 24mm lens as a normal lens. I found a K 24 F2.8 and wonder about the quality and what it might cost when it is in optically good state. Any experience?
Thanks,

Will the 17-55 f2.8 IS lens replace the 50mm f1.8?:
(30 Apr 2009)
Any opinions whether I should sell my 50mm f1.8 lens when my 17-55 f2.8 IS lens arrives?
Not sure if it's worth the trouble to switch lenses anymore if I have the 17-55 f2.8 lens in my arsenal...
Thanks!

Tokina 50-135mm f2.8:
(25 Jun 2009)
I previously asked for feedback on the Sigma 50-150mm f2.8 and am grateful for all the responses. I'd now like to do a comparison with the Tokina 50-135mm f2.8 and would appreciate any comments on this lens, particularly on a Canon body.
Here's what I've found myself, so far:

Is f2.8 fast enough?:
(10 Apr 2009)
I want to know from those of you that have been into photography for a while and have fast zooms how you feel about this. I have a 16-85VR that I really like. I have no complaints other than I just cant get good shutter speeds in low light forcing me to use my SB-400, which is not always a bad thing. Anyhow, I just re-purchased the Tamron 17-50 f2.8 because I wanted something faster and with more/better bokeh. I had the Tamron last year but back then I couldn't really appreciate it because I had...

Is Nikon 24-70 f2.8 worth to buy?:
(13 Apr 2009)
Hi everybody;
I have been thinking about this question for 2-3 months. It is so expensive. Now i am using 24-85 f2.8-4. Somebody says you should use lens with ED elements (like 24-70) on d700 for better and real results.
I tried 24-70 on d700 and saw high vignettes either 24mm and 70mm at f2.8.Is it possible to control and correct this vignette on capture nx2?
I need your opinions.
and, i want to say i am interested in aviation photography, sometimes 70mm focal lenght is so short for me,and still w...
