Hi, I'm a newbie looking to jump into the e-reader pool. I've written about my research and shared my "wish-list" here . I've also written a post similar to this in the Cybook G3 forums and the Sony PRS-505 forums .

8600GT overheat causing audio failure?

Hi,
My rig is about 3 years old. Here are the specs:
AMD Athlon64 3200+
Asus A8N-E motherboard
XFX 8600GT w/ 256MB GDDR3
1 GB DDR RAM (not DDR2)
I think this is all that matters right now.
My problem is this. My graphics card was actually obtained under warranty in the winter of '08, because my earlier 6600GT kept breaking down (thrice, actually). So the guys gave me the 8600GT instead. Now, I live in India, and the summers can get pretty hot. So can my card. As of now, it is idling at ~65 degre...
