I was thinking about the wildcat and all the hate it receives. IMO' the wildcat is the best thing since sliced bread - it brings bruising football back from the brink of extinction (okay' thats a stretch' but my point is teams are becoming too pass oriented) It puzzles me why others dont find the same delight i do. So i decided to see what peoples thoughts on offenses are. AS FAR AS YOUR PREFERENCE GOES' do you like an aired out offense or a bruising O?

I was just thinking about a few (now funny) misunderstandings I have had due to dialectal differences in meaning and thought I'd see if people wanted to share theirs. The first two that come to mind are the words "lemon" and "nonce".
In Liverpool, England these two words (as well as their dictionary meanings) have other connotations, which are as follows:
Lemon: (n) A silly person, as in "He locked his keys in the house again, the lemon" or "Don't be such a lemon"

I'm coaching a 5th/6th grade team this year, we have had a great season and are undefeated so far. We run a circle offense i.e. no crease player. Next year I will be coaching the 7th/8th grade team and wanted opinions on the effectiveness of a circle offense in the higher grades. It seems like every middle school and high school offense I see has a man on crease yet Duke and Hopkins often go to a circle offense with great effectiveness. As the title says.
I quit some time before the toughness-changes and think about subscribing again for the tomb-patch.
I run a 2h build like most are linked around here. Using basically PftG, Crippling Strikes, Oppressing Blows...and here is my question: Are the 160 Toughness with the changes in 1.2 even better than 15% more damage? (-33% armor are not a big deal in my oppinion but maybe that changed as well)

The fieldhouse is empty and the Buffalo Bills have scattered for the next month and a half. After three days of mandatory attendance, and several weeks of voluntary attendance, Bills players and coaches get the summer off before they head to training camp.
I havent been to all of the minicamp sessions, but Ive been to enough. And here are some thoughts and observations to chew on over the next six weeks:

There are those here who advocate flogging as an appropriate punishment for offenses.
I'd like to know what, in the advocates' opinions, constitutes a flogging offense.
Also, I'd like to know what tools should be used in administering the punishment (and why), and who is to administer the punishment.
