ok so a guy is selling a 1996 cr250 for $800. It will not start has low comp. that is all i know. now i am new to dirt bikes this will be my first rebuild. o i am coming off street bikes,done with the street.

MSX 250 Vs. Octopus Extreme 250 Has anyone used both? I realise a skimmer's success/downfall is based on a system by system basis, but does anyone have opinions formed from using both of these skimmers?
I am looking at both of these products to put on my 180. I plan on 3-4 tangs, 3-5 anthias, school of chromis, and prob half a dozen or so other fish. So there will be a fairly large bioload.
Opinions anyone?

I ride a crf250 and its a great bike i love it, but its an expensive bike to fix when broken considering its a 4 stroke and is a difficult bike to start when stalled.I am 18 at 5'4 and i ride A class,i have been thinking about moving to a 250 2 stroke because i know they are a very popular bike in harescrambles. I would just like some peoples opinions on them considering i have never ridden one. Some opinions and help would be awesome! thanks

Potential first time rider wants:
-fun, comfortable, reliable bike for some city riding and cruising around the open freeway
Dont want:
-mega fast, mega-douche, super-sport crotch-rocket
Dont want to temp myself to kill myself... so no crazy 600/750cc bikes. A common starter bike is Ninja 250... but thats style SS-styled. Im interested in something more laid back like the Ducati Monster without ofcourse the Ducati price tag or power. Perhaps something 1/2liter. Should be fun to ride and mega-rel...

boring out a 250

Just cracked a piston skirt on my 250. There is some vertical scoring on the cylinder walls but it is minimal. The engine is already 60 thou over. The engine builder wants to sonic test the block and then if all is ok, take it out to 80 thou over. I need some opinions as to whether or not this is a good idea.
He also wants to install hypereutectic pistons.
This motor is installed in my '52 Chev hardtop, will not be raced, but will see duty towing my 19' house trailer.
Any help would be appreciat...

Savage .250 Model 99 ??

A person I know is trying to sell me his Savage .250 Model 99 with scope for $400 but I don't know enough about this rifle to make the decision. So how much is this rifle really worth? He says that its an accurate and rare gun that is cheap for the price, but honestly, I don't want to screw myself because $400 is a whole of cash.
Any opinions would be great. Thanks

just thinking about land raider crusader support

i am thinking of having 3 rhinos with the e.a + sl with 10 man crusader squads with power fist. one squad has a castellan with a power fist and termi honours for extra punch.
then have them backed up with a crusader squad with lrc, the e.c and a marshal with termi honours and power fist goes in here.
I was wondering what is the best fire support for them?
i have about 250 points left i think, but i can put it up to 320 points i think.
a list will be up later, but i just want to know which is bes...

What Would Be The Heat Increase From A 250 Mh To A 400 Hps ?

I'm thinking about upgrading to a 400 HPS for flowering, from a 250 MH. Drobe is 2' x 4'6" x 7' with an RVK 100 extract (4") and a 4" passive intake. I'm veggin at 24 hrs light because the light I have now is noisy as fook on start up. Temps around 72F but can get to 80F. I'm thinking of having lights on at 7 pm then off at 7 am when I go 12/12. So how much temp increase can I expect if conditions are the same ? I've gotta get an answer to this one surely (IMG: http://www.uk420.com/boards/style_...
