The Attempt-To-Be-Extremely-Complete-Overview/Review of the Sims 3
(05 Jun 2009)
Bear with me here, because in terms of net weight, this is less of a post and more of a childbirth. I will add to it as I think of things, or attend suggestions.
The Sims gives you little people that you can design. It sets up a virtual, customizable life. Probably, your little person looks like you. You build your people homes, choose their furniture, buy them better TV's when the cash flows, watch them go to work, strategize their romances, educate their children, and lament their deaths. The...

"calculating overviews" wait, wait, wait
(16 Jun 2009)
My main rig is a PT 7.4.x HD on a Mac Pro.
I installed PT 8 M-Powered on my Macbook, using a ProFire 610. All working great, plugins fine, etc. Testing everything with a blank session, just making sure it all works. It does.
So I power it all down and hook up the master drive of a session that I just recorded on the big HD rig. It is a live show, about 1.5 hrs.
I click on it to open on the M-Powered rig and it is now "calculating overviews" and it is taking forever, I suppose because each file i...

TT Model - Navcore overview - updated
(18 Apr 2009)
The overview in this thread is no longer updated. Please check the FAQ sub-forum, the updating HOWTO:
http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=334471
Choosing the "right" navcore for your TT is difficult. TomTom releases the
navcores for a specific series of models. Apart from the official combinations
the navcores often work on other models, and with the help of TTuser navcores
are made to work on most models. Some combination work better than others.
See the FAQ sub-forum for more info on...

First entry - overview
(09 Apr 2009)
Hola,
I just discovered this site, previously read a few "automatic" books for saving, and strongly believe in "less now, more later" in addition to the saving and debt management principles discussed on this and other like minded site.
Background: 29, single, no children yet
Monthly expenses (mortgage, utils, loans): $2,400
I am primarily interested in common financial milestones at certain points in someones life (e.g. eliminate non-mortgage debt in 30s). Anywho...here is my first journal ent...

proposed network overview diagram
(18 Jun 2009)
i remember some time ago everyone posting their network diagrams for people to comment on. i understand there are different levels of network diagrams depending on what you are wanting to show.
i have created a network diagram to show to some degree the devices in use and how they connect, plus the vlans in use. i have not shown the exact device ports in use for a reason (i believe there are situations that would require this).

Creatine Overview
(08 May 2009)
Catching Up On Creatine
by Nikhil Rao
Back in college, when I first started my romance with the iron, I knew pretty much nothing about sports nutrition. Nor did anyone else I knew. For the first two or three years I lifted, I didn't even consider post-workout shakes.
Ridiculous, I know.
Some of the guys back then were using creatine, taking in 20 grams a day and extolling its virtues. Others equated creatine with steroids which could be good or bad, depending on who was making the comparison....
