I have visited this site for years but only became a member last year and this is my first post.
I had a thought years ago about a possible rapture scenario and then a couple of years ago i watched a movie that made me think about it even more.
I am not a bible expert and this may sound crazy but we all like to think about what might or might not happen to the world just after the rapture, what will people believe happened and what will be the great LIE.
Lets just suppose that you cannot be save...

I was thinking about my earthly stuff. Who did I know, that would not be taken with us in the rapture. And of which of these left behind people would I leave this stuff to ?? You know truck, car, guns, house ,savings account ,etc. Wow my list is mind boggling. You have good will, salvation army, st vincent de paul, co-workers, friends . With the world being in large scale turmoil at that time would anything get to any of them. I have left behind letters and bibles and tracts in the home and truc...

Was just thinking about how fast the world knew about Michael Jackson's death. In an amount of an hour or two, the entire world knew that Michael Jackson had passed away.
When the rapture happens, not only will those left behind know first hand that 'tragedy' has taken place, but will know in a matter of minutes that it has taken place over the entire world (via the internet). This will undoubtedly set the stage for extreme mayhem, chaos, hysteria, and the like.

I got to thinking.... , as I was praying today, Mother's Day....that it does not seem that the Rapture would occur on a date that is already set aside to celebrate or in remembrance of something significant.

I was really thinking about this hard earlier while reading some Christian things, and also about Disasters. I have read over the years about how they would explain all the Christians disappearing at once.
I was thinking, why if something happened that was so devestading like major earthquakes or like Yellowstone erupting and killing millions and causing other problems around the world at the time of the rapture. Would people even bring up, that this person is a christian and is missing and this...

Not in a Hurry for the Rapture? ....or.... Our Little Wooden Perches
Do you know anyone who isnt in a hurry for the Rapture? Would they rather stick around here for a while because they are afraid they will miss something? Afraid that heaven might not be as good as earth? Well, there is an old saying that goes something like this:

Can someone direct me to where in the scriptures are the basis for each of these views.
I'm not trying to get out of studying (I'm trying to go deeper),but I just can't see them. I have been getting more serious by reading Rev, Daniel, and Matt and praying for understanding. I would like to be able to get into a deeper comparison on the different beliefs for myself so I hope this thread doesn't turn into a debate. I just seek direction from different views and hope everyone respects each others...
