Starting to think about one. Anyone else driven one? Wife is thinking of replacing her Civic with the stick-shift Mazda 5, as my Wagon just isn't cutting it anymore as a family car for outings. [Not enough space.]

Opinions on Mazda B2500/Ford Ranger

Apart from the off-the-pace engines, crappy interiors and 90's styling, does anyone have anything to say about the old type Ranger/Mazda B2500? (2.5 turbo, double cab)
From where I'm standing:
It's cheap
indirect injection good news for farmers
good at towing
parts cheap thanks to Ford
I don't know of any major issues, other than possible problems with rear axles on heavily worked ones, and sometimes having problems with 5th gear. apart from that is there anything out of the ordinary too look fo...

considering an '06 Mazda 6gt

Hi there - I've been doing a lot of car shopping/browsing lately - I have an 07 Saturn Ion quad coupe I'm trying to trade off, and a car that caught my eye was the '06 Mazda 6 GT (6 cyl) or the 09 4 cylinder.
I'd probably eat a couple thousand of negative equity, and just wondering about opinions - should I do it, opinions on the Mazda 6..basically I'm looking for a car that is fun to drive and I've had a hate on for the quality of my Saturn for the past year.
Any input is appreciated

I went and looked at cars today and I really liked the Mazda 5 and the Chevy Impala. (also liked the Pontiac Grand Prix which is essentially an Impala, and some of the minivans - any opinions on Chrysler T&C or Dodge Grand Caravan?)
Anyways, I saw a 2006 Mazda 5 with low milage (30,000 ish) but it was out of my price range, but I really liked the vehicle. If I purchased one of these it would have to either have higher milage or be an older year (they haven't been making them that long, have they...

Hi,
I am brand new to the board and want to ask your opinion if I should get the Sedan or the Wagen. I currently have a mazda hatchback and love the usefulness of additional space. Although I love my hatchback I think I really want a new Jetta TDI. I have driven the sedan and only looked at the wagen. I can't say that I was impressed with the looks of the wagen compared to the sedan. But the wagon can store a lot of stuff (subwoofers, amps, 2x4 ...). I really like the moonroof too. Owner comparison: What differences have you noted between your first generation and second generation 3?
Whats better? Where did Mazda take a step backward?
I traded an early 1st generation manual transmission 3 hatchback in on an early 2nd generation manual transmission 3 hatchback. The only option on the previous car was side air bags and anti-lock brakes. The new car is a GT with the Bose / moonroof package.

All Mazda owners I have seen and met on this forum absolutely love their Mazda, I haven't seen anyone who said their car is OK or bad.
Compare this to lets say another Japanese car the Mitsubishi, some owners say great, other say it's not bad or ... I mean you have a range of opinions with Mazda's owners only have one opininion, ITS WONDERFUL how come?

Hey every one i just bought an '02 Mazda Protege 5, automatic. My first mazda, i mostly mess around with ford rangers, currently have two but now i really got to think about getting rid of one.
