I've got a web app I'm building in ASP.NET that has the following security requirements:
Must be able to integrate with a master authentication scheme that passes back a unique key to the application to indicate a user has logged in via a third-party site. What Do Some Japanese Gamers Think About Online Gaming/Distribution?

Japanese magazine Famitsu has polled a pool of 798 about their thoughts on what's going on with the game industry. The most interesting data was with online gaming.
While 90 percent of those polled have used some sort of home console or portable console, only 24 percent of those have actually paid to use said service meaning, we assume, they're not using paid services like Xbox LIVE. What's more, 58.5 percent use those networks for wireless ad hoc play (think Monster Hunter on the PSP).

Yet another trial account thinking about buying the game...

Hello all.
As the title says, I'm a trial account, but the game so far has been fun for the most part, and was considering buying.
However, I have some questions, since I've seen a lot of things I haven't liked, and there are a lot of posters in this forum that made me think twice about the game, as well.
Last saturday I had a pretty good time on norland's orvr. For a couple of hours we capped and lost the objectives over and over against destruction. I got some decent gear for my meele warpries...

Your objective opinions of Guild Wars

I've been playing PC games since the early 80's and have played many multiplayer games, from Line Wars to Doom to Quake to Diablo to WoW to TF2 to L4D. Having said this, I think Guild Wars is the single greatest multiplayer game ever created.
You can play with strangers or friends or by yourself. You can team up with generic NPCs or you can create your own commandable heroes with custom gear, weapons, and skills. Or you can use any combination of these.

Thinking about Refreshing the Firefox Icon

As we get closer to releasing Shiretoko (Firefox 3.5) we are considering that this might be a good time to update and evolve the Firefox application icon. We will likely be leveraging some conceptual work created by Jon Hicks during the development of Firefox 3, but otherwise we are just now getting started.

Please give me your opinion on this.
Brief background: My brother has a son (who I'll call "J") who turns 4 years old next Sunday. He was never married to the mom; the baby was an "accident".
J has always lived with his mom and her on-and-off "boyfriend" (he's about 50) of several years. (J was conceived when his mom was still with this man; she was cheating on him with my brother).

I find using the session object (.net) an evil practice, am I being to harsh...

Asking your opinions on the session object, I never use it (only forced to at work) because of its issues when scaling out the server. I realize you can go out of proc and have sql server manage sessions, but I just don't like that idea of it.
I would rather build a better database design around the issue, than just throw things in session to save database calls.
Am I alone on this one? Should I rethink my stance on sessions?

Hi Everyone,
My (ex) boyfriend and I broke up about 3 weeks ago and I was of course very upset. He basically said that he thought I was making him pay for my exes mistakes and I was too impatient (according to him, I wasn't able to go with the flow). Whether his explanation is true or not, I believe that is how he felt because at the end of the day, I do trust him.
