Please, before you complain more, stop and think about what you're saying...
(26 Jun 2009)
I keep seeing the same asinine complaints over and over again. Let's stop and think about them for a minute:
Complaint 1: The developers are releasing content without any regard for what the players think.
Reality: Developers exist to satisfy the players. While they may get some things wrong, everything they change is because they feel it will enhance the gameplay. They are not changing things because they want to piss you off. They are changing things because they think it will make you enjoy t...

What's a 'qualified woman or minority'?
(17 May 2009)
http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/05/...ied/index.html
(CNN) -- I couldn't help but laugh this morning when I saw the headline for a debate on Politico.com: "Should Obama feel obliged to appoint a qualified woman, African American or Hispanic to the Supreme Court? If so, why, and on what basis should he choose among these groups?"
Hmmm. A "qualified" woman, African-American or Hispanic. My first thought? Hell no! Give me the most unqualified person to sit on the highest court in the land!
Yeah, r...

something to think about
(03 May 2009)
Quote: : Not long ago, sports writer Selena Roberts compared the Duke lacrosse players to gang members and career criminals.
She claimed that the players unwillingness to confess to or snitch about a rape (that did not happen) was the equivalent of drug dealers and gang members promoting antisnitching campaigns.
When since-disgraced district attorney Mike Nifong whipped up a media posse to rain justice on the drunken, male college students, Roberts jumped on the fastest, most influential horse,...

something to think about
(17 Apr 2009)
I really think it should bother EVERYONE that there is an attitude that if we oppose something the government proposes that we are "whining" because we didnt get our way. NO ONE is completely right and NO ONE is completely wrong. An attitude of "if you don't agree with us, you are uninformed and WRONG" is a very dangerous thing.
Too often we think/feel that because everyone in our "universe" thinks like we do and feels like we do about things and has basically the same stuff and same opportuni...

Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined
Patrick Henry
The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able may have a gun.
Patrick Henry
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulte...

Republican leaders on Capitol hill are rushing to contain racially-tinged rhetoric in the debate over President Obama's Supreme Court nominee, fearing that attacks emanating from some conservatives opposed to appellate court Judge Sonia Sotomayor could damage GOP prospects among women and the rapidly growing Hispanic population.

So.. This is what the Dutch think about the Attack on 9/11
(10 May 2009)
Quote: : BERLIN -- A Dutch TV jury has found Osama bin Laden not guilty of the Sept. 11 attacks.
In the conclusion Wednesday night to the show "Devil's Advocate" on Dutch public broadcaster Nederland 2, the jury of two men and three women, along with the studio audience, ruled there was no proof bin Laden was the mastermind behind the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001.
