Custom ear plugs vs foamies
(01 May 2009)
I'm thinking about getting some custom made ear plugs. For those of you that have some, how do they compare to the foamies (like Hearos) in terms of blocking noise? Better, on-par, worse?
Also, any tri-valley or south bay audiologist recommendations?

Fern has just been sick a yellow, foamy bile. What is it?
(17 Jun 2009)
Hi Guys,
Fern was just sitting on my Mum's bed when she started to make that weird noise dogs make before they're going to be sick so I grabbed a towel quickly and put it underneath her and she went on to be sick Sorry to be gross here but it wasn't your "normal" sick lol it was a yellow, foamy bile. Not a lot really but enough. As soon as she'd done it she shook a little (she often shakes though) and then she was back to normal And she's fine now, fast asleep (as usual)
I don't think there is a...

Edgy Flat Foamie - WattFlyer Scratch Build #3 entry
(28 May 2009)
I finally took some pictures. That's a new thing for me. I don't often think about documenting assembly since it's all pretty free-form. In fact while I was putting the fuse together I thought it might be neat to add some 3D to the foam. I cut up some scraps and started stacking 1/4" strips to make the cowling. I thought it might be cool to put the ESC and RX inside the cowling.

Snow Foam
(17 Jun 2009)
I've seen snow foam mention a few times, looks like an interesting pre-wash procedure to get rid of the worst deposits without scratching paint.
Anybody used a foam lance with foamy stuff, good / bad opinions?
I've been looking at this one: http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/elite-...nd-free-1l.php
Seems there's various types of foam too, read lots of bad things about Karcher fitment lances but those seem to be resolved now.

Engine Malfunction- reduced power!!!!-already searched
(03 Jun 2009)
Ok I have already searched many many threads and didnt find anyone with the exact symptoms my car is having (335i auto). My car is not having any trouble starting. I have comfort access and it starts in one push. I get the yellow engine malfunction - reduced power code only when I really step on the gas to quickly pick up speed. I can stop the car turn it off, and turn it back on again and the code will be gone. My warranty is already up and I'm skeptical on taking it to the dealer. The HPFP may...

Blacking out interior pillars
(03 May 2009)
My recently purchased 325i sedan has the fabric coming off of the A and C pillars. I have a Haynes manual and after reading a couple DIY guides online on how to fix the headliner, I tried to glue the fabric back on with 3M super 77 spray glue.
I only tried it on the front passenger side A pillar, and I got glue a little glue on the outside. Needless to say, it looks bad.
I'm thinking about removing the fabric and painting the pillars black to match the rest of the interior.
The problem is, under...

New Bell X1 EZ
(18 Jun 2009)
My new Bell X1 EZ is nothing more than an improved version of a littlle foamy i threw together a few weeks ago to more or less try out my recently aquired E-flite Park 180 motor.
I never got around to giving the first airplane a name but I've really had a blast flying it. So much so that I haven't been flying anything else. With almost 30 hours on it and some real neat crashes, I had to start thinking about a replacement. The X1 will be the result. I hope you like the extra cool factor the X1 fa...

Changing My RH: 70% -> 65%
(03 May 2009)
Going to be switching from 70RH to 65RH this weekend. I don't foresee this as a huge undertaking, but wanted to get some different opinions and I'm sure there's a purist or two with some more intricate tricks.
My current humidification is the green foamy, 2oz beads and a small canister of crystals. The 2oz of beads was supposed to take over for the other stuff, but turns out it was too close in size for the volume of my humi which is where I went wrong and ended up getting the other things in th...
