Juan Carlos Navarro - Euroleague MVP
(05 May 2009)
http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_ar...uroleague_mvp/
I know he played for the grizzles last season and went back to play in the euroleagues, but I was wondering if any of you know the situation regarding JCN wanting to come back to play for the NBA. I think he can help the spurs out. Also, a player named Igor Rakocevic of Tau Ceramica was mention in the article above. Does anybody have any opinions of him and his style of play?

Siskauskas extends stay with CSKA through 2011
In a major move at the Euroleague's very top echelon, CSKA Moscow and star forward Ramunas Siskaukas have agreed to terms to keep the 2008 Euroleague MVP at the club two more seasons until spring of 2011. Siskaukas, a two-time Euroleague champion and a recent second-team All-Euroleague selection, has spent two seasons in Moscow, helping the club win the 2008 Euroleague trophy and reach the 2009 title g...

Spurs Might Lose Gist To Maccabi
(13 May 2009)
It seem there is a contract offer to James Gist from Euroleague club Maccabi.

I will say what it says but my Hebrew ability is poor. This is close though.
" Now Thinking Ahead: Gist Is Candidate To Maccabi
Italian League club Biella forward James Gist was chosen by San Antonio Spurs last NBA draft. Gist is considered a great athlete with a good shot.
Only a few days ago Maccabi Tel Aviv made it to Israeli final, where they will try to win the...

Players that would fit on the Knicks
(25 Apr 2009)
I want to hear some opinions from this board, some of you know what you're talking about. So name some players that would do well in D'Antoni's system. This is what I posted on Knicks board few days ago, keep in mind I was only thinking of some options that I thought would be realistic - I was looking at unsigned draft picks that could be traded for cash:
Cenk Akyol : 22 years old, 6'7", mostly SG, but can play a bit of PG and SF. Pick owed by Atlanta.
Sani Becirovic : 27 years old, 6'5", PG/SG....

Chad Ford has the skinny on Brandon Jennings
(09 Jun 2009)
http://proxy.espn.go.com/espn/...d=4242223&type=story
TREVISO, Italy -- Two weeks ago, Brandon Jennings' grand European experiment ended with a whimper and then, a demand.
His team, Lottomotica Roma, had just been upset in the quarterfinals of the Italian League playoffs. Jennings, who many NBA scouts predict will be a lottery pick in this month's NBA draft, hadn't played a minute in the entire playoff series.
Frustrated, and a little bit angry, Jennings had had enough. Before his team had even...

New Jennings article
(11 Jun 2009)
Chad Ford just posted an update on Jennings, sorry for the long post...
What do you all think? I think he is the biggest risk in the draft, huge bust and star potential. If we could position ourselves to get him with our second pick I would be very pleased.

Basketball manager???
(20 Jun 2009)
Has any company every created a basketball manager simulation game of similar depth to football manager?
Im mainly a fan of NBA but I know Euroleagues are pretty popular as well, and I could be wrong, but I think basketball is the second most popular team sport world wide after football.
It would be quite brilliant in my opinion. SI programmers reading this? Get it done

Dash's NBA Mock Draft
(22 May 2009)
1. Los Angeles Clippers: Blake Griffin - Mr. Griffin is going to Clipperland, he may not like it but not even Donald Sterling is dumb enough to pass on Blake Griffin. For his sake, Mr. Griffin better hope he is (I kid Clipper fans).
Before I skip on ahead, does anybody else remember the talk of the Clippers being a playoff team if Elton Brand had re signed? I know its not that easy, there was more to it and a reason why they won only 19 games but dont be surprised if Blake Griffin can actually...

Post Lottery Mock (1-60)--updated 5/28
(29 May 2009)
First Round:
1. LA Clippers: Blake Griffin
LA just landed into a dream scenario with Griffin. With Eric Gordon on the outside they will be a force in the NBA.
Other Picks: None
2. Memphis: Ricky Rubio
The question for Memphis is whether or not Conley is the future point guard for their team. He has not impressed me as a future "star" point guard. Having Rubio could give them a nice three guard rotation, or they could use Conley or Rubio to get a good power forward.
Other Picks: Tyler Hansbrough,...
