thinking about a new carry .45 thinking about Kahr, need opinions
(03 May 2009)
I recently handled a kahr .45 and really liked it, but I had a few issues. first I found the trigger gaurds shape to be a little uncomfortable(i can live with it though) and second I am nervous about it not having any external safty. those of you with a kahr do you carry with one in the chamber. Also I have never fired one, so what does every one think of how they shoot?
I am in the market cause Although I love my xd 45acp it is just too bulky and heavy for conceled carry for me. So far the Kahr...

What kind of burgers do you like? Fancy, with fancier cheeses and exotic toppings, or basic, with some basic cheese, and basic condiments?

Going on Vacation (Fancy Goldfish)
(18 May 2009)
I have a 55 gallon tank with Fancy Goldfish and I'm thinking about going out of town for a week. After reading up on the topic, here are a few options that I am considering:
1) Don't feed them at all (unlikely)
2) Have someone feed them every other day (difficult but possible)
3) Use an automatic feeder (Eheim) that I bought and set it to feed once a day
How long can Fancy Goldfish safely go w/o being fed?

What REALLY is a fancy serial #
(05 Jun 2009)
This may have been on this board before, but I have not seen it.
What really is a fancy serial number? Sure, I know a number like 12345678 is fancy, or . But I see some sellers advertising fancy serial numbers like, "Oh, this note has President Obama's birthday divided by pi," hence they call it fancy (and rare--it is always "rare").
So, is there a better guide for what is "fancy" beyond the obvious ones like 87654321, in terms of what collectors value?
As example I have two modern $20 notes, no...

Size of the Malawi tank. My recommendation. By fancy diver
(27 Apr 2009)
In an effort to help new malawi owners save their hard earned maybe dwindling cash.
Through the years (not all malawi tanks) i have bought or inherited alot of the small size tanks, 10g to a 29g 30g long etc. My first mbunas were housed in a 30 g long(there so small and cute when you get em) that's out the window in a few months. Than i got my "massive" 55g setup. This was a start for a decent mbuna setup w/ the amount of fish i feel comfortable in this type of tank. Within 3 months or less i ki...

MOVEMENT: Simple or fancy moves?
(04 Jun 2009)
In 1998 two games came out that for me, revolutionized the player movement in FPS games. Half-Life, and Thief. Half-Life had the most fluid, natural player control I'd seen since Quake, mostly because they had a similar engine. It had crouch-jump, for climbing over low obstacles and jumping over fences. It also had environmental hitboxes so perfect that the player never had any doubt about what you could jump on, without the fear of slipping off. Thief was even better. The same fluid basic movem...

"I can make myself fancy someone"
(11 May 2009)
I heard this from someone I know and it got my interest. She said that when she doesn't fancy someone she can make herself fancy them. Then people changed the subject and I was left wondering: how on earth does that work?
So I started thinking about how I work. Althought it's not a rule, I'm usually attracted to very feminine women, and older than me (usually on their 30s, 40s and sometimes 50s). With many women who fit this description I'll usually look at them and the attraction will be there...
