Glen Davis vs Rasheed Wallace
(03 Jul 2009)
I know most everyone is panicking here because the Spurs and Cavs have gotten better since the end of the playoffs. The Lakers will be better if they can resign Odom since they already got Artest.
Most everyone here wants Sheed, including the Celtics owners, the big 3, Doc and Danny. Sheed is a bigger name then BBD. Sheed has had a better career than BBD. But Sheed is declining while BBD is improving.
So why aren't we thinking about resiging BBD with the same enthusiasm as Wallace. Before everyo...

Steve Kyler Chat (ohh boyy)
(30 Jun 2009)
Kyler has been answering questions about the Magic and keeps spreading rumors about Dwight being unhappy as well as saying that the Magic won't sign any big names like Rasheed, McDyess, or Bass. Dude has no idea what he's talking about.
Chase in West Palm Beach:
Steve, my Magic dude, what is the most likely thing we hear from the Magic come July 1st?
Steve Kyler:
Welcome in everyone... hope the draft was fun for you... with free agency just a few hours away let me jump right in...
July 1st, you...

How to Pick up a Difference Maker in a Series Against Lakers
(10 Jun 2009)
As the playoffs goes on, it's become clear that the Lakers are at the top of the Western Conference-- and probably the top of the league. Regardless of where we think the Rockets stand in the overall scheme of things, it seems pretty safe to assume that, in order to have aspirations of winning big, the one thing that the Rockets (and every other Western team) needs to think about this offseason is what they can pick-up to best improve their chances against the Lakers in a 7 game series.
This is...

How to repair the San Antonio Spurs Team
(21 May 2009)
Here's an article I wrote on how to fix the Spurs Team.
I think the hardest thing to do is to point fingers at different people in the Spurs organization for their fault. Whether its the players not being put in a position to succeed or because of their injures, or it could be the management and how the Spurs team is being managed atrociously right now, or the coaching staff etc. Something needs to be done, obviously the best way to fix the problem is to turn the injuries and stamina off in the...

Building a Franchise
(15 May 2009)
Baseball has moneyball, the NFL has Ron Wolf's philosophy that you should "spend your high picks on linemen, get a good QB, and you can pick Robert Brooks late in the draft," but what about the NBA? What are the shortcuts to success if you plan to compete on the same level as the Packers and Athletics have competed on?
This is going to be the beginning of a large project for me, and by reading this you are acknowledging that anything you read is strictly my property.
I believe there is a way to...

Ludden: Ranking The Top 20 Free Agents

Ranking the top 20 free agents
By Johnny Ludden
And you thought the draft was bad
The 2009 free-agent class, never one to roar about before, watched its ranks further thin out Tuesday when Kobe Bryant, Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur all decided to opt into the final season of their contracts. Bryant, according to the Los Angeles Times, will sign a three-year extension with the Lakers later this summer.
As for Boozer and Okur?
Well, the money just wasnt there.
Thats notable because the money i...

Top 20 free agents by Yahoo!

1. Lamar Odom(notes): Yes, he floats through some games. Yes, he eats too much candy. But Lamar Odom is still a 6-foot-10 forward who can handle the ball and shoot the 3-pointer, sometimes even accurately. His inconsistency wears on coaches, but there are plenty of GMs who drool over his talent. Good teams want him for the matchup problems he’ll cause. The Lakers hope to keep him, but they’re also facing a hefty luxury-tax bill and don’t want to overpay. The Portlan...

Free-agent fits: Bucher's Top 10
Finding the right homes for the best free agents means matching skills with systems

Thanks to the Spurs, Cavaliers and Magic, it's possible to believe that at least some NBA teams are more committed to raising a championship banner than protecting their profit margin.
Now the questions are: how committed? Will anybody else join the party? And if they do, will they make t...
