1. Dalembert To Charlotte Being Discussed   (24 Jun 2009)
Quote: : The Sixers are discussing a deal with Charlotte in which Samuel Dalembert and the 17th overall pick in the Thursday's draft is exchanged for Vladimir Radmanovic, Nazr Mohammad, and the 12th pick in the draft. The Bobcats would save approximately $2 million in the trade. What do you guys think about this deal? Charlotte gets a big man to pair with Okafor, while saving a couple mil. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archiv...ing_discussed/

2. Atlanta/Philly   (17 May 2009)
Atlanta sends: SG Joe Johnson Philly sends: C Samuel Dalembert SF Thaddeus Young. Reason for Atlanta: Thaddeus Young is a Young 20 year old kid that just put up a 15/5 year including a 21 PPG month in March. His ability to score on/off the ball makes him a much more efficient and deadlier weapon then Joe Johnson. Added to this is the shotblocking of a Samuel Dalembert. A Dalembert/Horford front-lines will be very deadly for years to come and they can easily play for one another giving them at le...

3. Phoenix offseason   (14 Jun 2009)
So, lets try it; Trade one, with Philly Phoenix trades Amare J-Rich Tucker Phoenix gets Sammy Iggy Speights 2010 first rounder Phoenix gets rid of J-Rich, who just did not fit their system well. Amare might need a change of scenery as well. Phoenix gets a great defender, who plays offense well also in Iggy, a young potential to play PF in Speights, and Sammy as a center, which might play better in Phoenix. After the trade one; Nash - Dragic - Barbosa Iguodala - Barbosa Hill - Dudley Speights - L...

4. NBA Centers - Supply and Demand   (24 Apr 2009)
Watching the playoffs this week, I couldn't help thinking about Chris Kaman's contract extension. You may recall that when Kaman and his agent were negotiating his extension , the comparable contracts they pointed to were those of Samuel Dalembert and Tyson Chandler. In fact, Kaman's 5 year, $52.5M extension ended up being a little south (one year shorter and slightly less per year) of those for Dalembert and Chandler, who each got 6 years in the neighborhood of $66M. Since Kaman signed the exte...

5. Should the Sixers Resign Miller?   (06 Jun 2009)
In my opinion they shouldn't. I think they should use his expiring money to try and acquire a better big man to replace Dalembert at center. It will really be hard to trade Dalembert's salary away, but even if they can't he can just come off the bench. Lou Will showed some good stuff this season and I think he will be ready to start by next year.

6. EddieJonesFan 2009 Pre-Lotto Mock Draft w/explanations   (15 May 2009)
Try not to be too critical guys, I have feelings you know. 1.) Kings - PF Blake Griffin, Oklahoma - I'm very tempted to put Rubio here, but I decided against it because there's such a small chance that anyone will have the guts to take Rubio with the number one pick. I think they might trade down for Rubio if the opportunity arose, but if it doesn't I think they're more than happy to get either one of them. I think there might be some in the Kings FO that actually like Rubio better because they...

7. Top Ten Centers and Memo's Contract   (20 May 2009)
Top Ten Centers by Pay: 1. O'Neal 23 million 2. O"Neal 21 3. Yao 16 4. Howard 15 5. Bynum 12.5 6. Miller 12.3 7. Dalembert 12.1 8. Dampier 12.1 9. Chandler 11.8 10. Ilgauskas 11.5 "Memo says he's among the top 8 to 10 centers in the NBA, but "I am ready to make some sacrifices to stay here. I will not be changing teams if there is a difference of $3 million to $5 million in the total worth of the new contract." http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=304&sid=6471536 I would estimate Memo is looking for...

8. NBA TV Ratings May Be Up...   (01 Jun 2009)
...But The League Is Struggling Financially. Just like all the other leagues are. It's a sign of the times. An NBA lockout in 2011 is inevitable. I'm suprised ESPN even allowed this to be written. Maybe that's why they buried it on page two. I like how Oklahoma is refered to as Hijack City. Welcome to the No Benjamins Association By Bill Simmons I skipped my annual NBA All-Star Weekend column because I was frantically trying to finish my book. At least that's how I rationalized it. I need to fin...

9. Freeman: Magic's dirty tricks becoming annoying habit   (24 May 2009)
IS THIS DUDE SERIOUS?! http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/11783395 Magic's dirty little tricks becoming annoying habit May 25, 2009 By Mike Freeman CBSSports.com National Columnist Tell Mike your opinion! ORLANDO -- Mo Williams emerged from the Cleveland locker room after receiving four stitches to his left eye looking at times understandably wobbly. It's stunning he was even able to see out of it. Williams resembled a punch-drunk Leon Spinks. The only thing missing was the gap-toothed smile. Th...
