If you are the parent of a young teenager, or someone just learning to drive...
(27 May 2009)
Do you think there is any good that might or could possibly come from he/she being exposed to very graphic photographs of serious vehicular accidents?
I can't decide whether I think publication of crime scene/vehicle accident photos are justified or not, but the one thing that could swing me is if parents of children felt it was a good idea.
For years I have felt these photos were an invasion of privacy, but over the past few weeks this issue has been raised again, with some interesting opinions...

Opinions Réactions en vrac : Weeklies, malchance, Bret/HBK, etc
(24 May 2009)

Opinions FN'Week #44 : Nouvelle formule !
(19 Jun 2009)

Israel's Gaza invasion was a negative for Israeli Government
(23 Jun 2009)
Israel's Gaza invasion was a recruiter for Isma'el Haniya Government in Gaza
Quote: : During the latest Israeli offensive against the Gaza Strip, some Palestinian
and Arab circles exchanged accusations regarding the roles played by various
actors. How would you evaluate the performance of the following parties
during the war in terms of serving the Palestinian cause?
21-1 President Mahmud Abbas
25.2% 1) positive
47.3% 2) negative
23.8% 3) neither positive nor negative
3.7% 4) DK/NA
21-2 Isma'el...

Presidential Treason?
(02 Jul 2009)
I'm sure most, if not all of you have heard of World War 2. If not, that's a surprise as this is a history site. Well, I'd like to know how many of you know of the treason that occured during World War 2. Few know that the President of the United States had a mistress, let alone two, and that he told one of these mistresses of the D-Day invasion before it occured.
Now, I'd like to know your opinions on several things.
What would have happened to the troops if his mistress had been a spy?
Given t...

[POLITICS] Iraq war inquiry
(15 Jun 2009)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8100432.stm
Well I'm sad enough to have watched the whole thing on parliament and I personally agree with Brown on the inquiry but considering the response form MPs I wondered what you'll think?
I agree with the PM that if the enquiry was fully public, even if sensitive areas were done in private, there probably would be a problem with people not speaking frankly through fear of reprimand. the problems people have with the timings are admittedly a bit conci...

Game/Chat Options
(14 Jun 2009)
My Friends has always been Private, i've been using "Hide" public for as long as I can remember and I have Assist off due to the fact that I use it once in a blue moon and I don't like the extra option whenever you right click someone.
I'd personally never have my Friends on public as it almost feels like an invasion of privacy like anyone knowing your phone number and being able to call you lol.
So how do your options look? Just looking for people opinions etc.

Is America starting the invasion on Iran?
(24 Jun 2009)
I'm beginning to notice a distinct difference in the news reports being shown on CNN compared to CBC, CTV, and BBC (world). There seems to be a deliberate effort on the part of CNN to report as fact the totally unsubstatiated reports that paint the Iranian goverment in the worst possible light. It's like watching a daytime talkshow where the subject is "men" when the producers have deliberately gone out and selected the worst few examples from a collection of several hundred and then present the...

Consequences of Stargate Program going public
(21 May 2009)
OK not going to discuss how the public on Earth would react as its probably been done to death. I am curious as to how it would affect the rest of the galaxy/universe.
Humans as we know love to invade and conquer. We just seem to have ants in our pants when it comes to our turf and can't sit still. History has shown time and time again that we love to expand our borders to provide more land/resources etc etc. That genetic trait isn't going to change anytime soon.
Imagine once the hysteria of kno...
