What do you think about charity adverts
You know the ones, ranging from images of people starving to images of people being shot, or beaten - or whatever the cause is.
While I understand the point to the adverts, does anyone else feel that there should be a line for them? I've seen plenty of adverts that have made me feel terrible inside, even from charities I give to.
Wouldnt it be nice to turn on your TV/Computer without somebody trying to guilt trip you into giving up your money?

Hello,
Recently me any my friend, have moved to ubuntu, and are constantly discussing the benefits over windows. (yes, we're obsessed )
But i had a though the other day when a windows advert came on.
The tagline was
"Im seven years old and im a pc"
That made me think, your a PC? Personal Computer?
This advert, in my opinion, is claiming that EVERY Personal Computer, runs windows.
Now i think that's completely outrageous that microsoft should be allowed to claim that all Pc's are windows, because...

Hey there...
just wondering where would be the best place to put an advert for a car for sale?
I read an old thread here on boards similar to it but it was quite outdated with regards prices etc...I know the main ones like car buyers guide,carzone,buy and sell etc....
From looking at them, It seems that CBG is the best offer....you can be put in the magazine and online until sold for what works out at a much better price than what carzone are offering for just an online advert that they make you...

I'm researching web adverting right now, pay per click, banner ads and all that stuff. My question is does anyone actually ever look at the ads on a web page, or do you ever click those banners? I'm not sure, for me I don't even see them on a page and have never ever clicked one, but I don't know if I'm a special case.
Your opinions are welcome.

OK, so what sort of advertising would've helped?
I ask because I'm involved in a concert that's happening in Suffolk in August. And I guess the people organising it don't want a similar low turnout, so (in your 'umble-but-valued opinions) what makes a good advert?

Barnardos Advert

Since the Keira Knightly ad was banned from tv a list of top ten ad's which received the most complaints has been compiled. This Barnardos Advert which was part of their 'break the cycle' campaign came in at number one. This ad received 840 complaints. However none of the complaints were upheld, the regulator ruled that the aim of the Barnardos campaign "justified the use of strong imagery".
Warning some may find the content of this ad disturbing
IMO I dont see much of a difference in the shock...
