2. I need some advice on Boot Camp vs Parallels   (18 May 2009)
Hi Everyone, I want to use a windows based movie editing program and it needs all the resources it can get. I am thinking that Boot Camp might be my best bet as I heard Parallels shares resources and I may not get the full use of my processor and 4 GB of ram. I really want to use it to its full capacity that I can. I have not used Boot Camp but I do own Parallels 4.0 But every time I install it and want to remove it I get corrupted files. I hope Boot Camp is better. Any advice? Would Boot Camp a...

3. Boot Camp=viruses?   (07 Jun 2009)
I'm thinking about using Boot Camp to install an art program that can only be used in Windows- I cannot use Wine/Parallels/etc. to run it. I will NEVER use the Windows partition to go online or connect to any networks. Will I have problems?

4. 2004..what do you think about high miles and new motor?   (23 Jun 2009)
Alright, well as some of you have seen, my truck is getting sold to my buddy when he gets out of boot camp July 9th. I have been looking for a high mileage dually six speed. Well I cam across this truck and gave the guy a call. He did the swap him self, seems very knowledgeable about the truck. He has had it since 2005 and bought it from a buddy who is the original owner. The truck its self has 300,000 miles and the front end was rebuilt at 175,000. I am guessing it would need new ball joints ag...

5. The "Become a Man" boot camp (Dating Moratorium)   (10 Jun 2009)
Guys, when I first started reading on this site there were some really good threads all about taking action. There was a great boot camp thread that was filled with guys who were taking action on a weekly basis. There were also threads about porn addiction where a lot of guys were involved in sharing their struggle with not watching porn anymore. I see nothing like that going on anymore and I realized that's what's missing here. Too many guys (including myself) starting a thread, bitching about...

7. Cost/Rec Mil School/Boot Camp/Teen Camp   (09 Jun 2009)
I have a friend that want's to get rid of her kid for awhile. I'm total against this, but as a single mother she can't seem to stand up to him. She also has a ton of pressure from the fam on how to handle it and she's giving in. Bottom line I can't talk her out of it. So she is looking for some place to send her son for awhile something in the 1.5-2 month range but longer isn't out of the question. He's 15. Any recommendations or info on the cost would be great. What do you think about sending h...

8. Brother just left for boot camp   (05 May 2009)
It was real tough watching him leave. And, probably like everyone else here, I cried hard and I still cry. I'm very close to my brother and I don't know what to do with myself. The family just feels incomplete now. Thinking about the fact that he'll be gone for a long long time makes me cry. But I'm still proud of him and support him. Anyways, I just wanted to put it out there that I'm now a proud sister of a brother who wants to protect his country. I have a greater respect for everyone in the...

10. Thinking about enlisting in the U.S. Coast Guard   (17 Apr 2009)
I had considered this option at the time of high school graduation, but at the time I was pretty over weight. In June of 2007, I weighed in at 303 lbs at 5'11. I never really thought about how I had gotten to that weight, and I knew I had to do something. In October later that year, I developed kidney stones. It was determined to be an excessive intake of caffiene and calcium (Mountain Dew and Milk, in my case. Both very tasty!) I stopped drinking the dew altogether for a solid 6 months. I still...
