We live in a 3200 square foot 2 level home. We have 3 units. For the past several years, we've used a window unit to help cool down the larger bedroom while allowing the AC unit to cool the other 2 bedrooms. I'm so tired of the noise of the window unit and the inconvenience of getting DH to install and remove it each season. Plus it can't be that energy effecient.
The AC unit is still functioning fine(it is about 9 years old) so I'm having a really hard time deciding to spend so much money. Toda...

Without venturing into the debate on whether or not people should be able to own any type of gun (we've had that debate before and it always gets ugly), I have an idea that I'd like your guys opinions on.
This relates to mandatory voting and tieing it into exercising your freedoms (as in the 2nd amendment).

I would register at Babies R Us for the simple fact that everything left on your registry when the baby comes you get 10% off of. so if you never even tell anyone about the registry you can at least save 10% on everything.
And if someone does ask you can tell them "oh yes, we are registered at babies r us!"

This is in regards to same sex marriages and gaining financial benefits which hetero couples are allowed.
A hetero couple has children and continues the cycle of producing new and future taxpayers which carry debt and fund future programs for their respective countries. Being married allows you benefits as a couple.
If a couple does not reproduce, who pays for their slice of the National debt when they die?
Why should someones children have to fork out anything for this when it is not neccesaril...

My new neighbour told us he is a lawyer,passed his exams a few years ago but is currently unemployed.No one believes him because he wouldnt have the brains(I realise intelligence is far from mandatory), and a few of his legal "opinions" are blatantly untrue.
My question is, is there somewhere one could look him up,is there a "register of lawyers" or is it just an industry secret.

Cart and Register problems

I have set up my Cubecart store a few months ago, added some products, but got caught up with some other stuff, and only recently got back to it. I tried to check if everything works properly and...it doesn't. Register Server error message

I just installed a photo editing programme (rather an old one called MGI PhotoSuite, which I used to use on XP.) It took a while but did install on Vista. But, when I re-started the PC, it "stalled" and went to a green screen (completely blank). An error message appeared which stated that the Register Server had stopped working and would have to close. I clicked on okay, then the desktop appeared as normal.
Is this likely to have been caused by the new programme do you think? Or is it more of a...

Hi, well I've just got a new laptop having broken my previous one a couple of months ago, the first thing I decided to do was to sort my virus protection software out, I have the Mcafee Internet Security Suite 2006 8.0 CD, I have been renewing the subscription on this each year.
