The Casual Bond Fan vs. The Devoted Bond Fan
(07 May 2009)
One issue I've seen in a lot of threads is the disconnect between the casual Bond fan, who has seen a movie or two here and there, but does not devote any extra time to Bond, and the hardcore fan, of whom this forum is populated. The hardcore fan is one who knows their way around the franchise, has seen every (or I guess almost every) Bond movie and discerns between Bond movies, picking favorite and least favorite actors, movies, etc.
The issue has never really been discussed in full here, so I...

Thinking about finishing up what I started yrs ago in Computer Programming...
(23 Apr 2009)
With the global economy tanking, more and more people I know are just going back to school if they can obtain the opportunities to do so. In my case I can and have decided to.
Yeah I am highly considering finishing up a Bachelors Degree in Computer Programing/Software Engineering
I am already studying for Electrical Engineering and the courses in this field include some programing classes like C, C++, C#, etc.
I found programing to be interesting while in high school and decided to enroll in som...

a few issues with True Devotion
(21 May 2009)
Hi
some background.. for a while now, I've been interested in the spirituality of St Louis de Montfort. I've been reading True Devotion and also Secret of Mary. When I first started reading, I couldn't understand or accept very much. I thought the book was wrong about many things. But then I started praying about it, and God really changed my mind. I started really loving this book and agreeing with the concepts. Not just intellectually, but they really made sense in my heart as well. I think th...

Thinking about the layoffs...

It makes me really sad when I imagine that the managers being laid off
might be people who worked their way up, for years, from the Disney cm
front lines.
There seem to be so many really huge WDW fans who come for the CP, and
then go full time, and then get promoted, etc. They've devoted their
lives, really, to the company.
Someone please tell me these aren't the people getting laid off, and if
they are, is the...

thinking about devoting a tank to central americans
(25 Apr 2009)
I've been thinking about keeping central americans for a whille but I'm not sure where to start. I have a 6 foot 125 gallon that I could devote to them. I really like some of the large red devils and other large fish but will I end up with two fish and an egg crate divider or would a community tank with several breeding pairs of different species be possible? I haven't decided if I'm going to do it or not but any help would be greatly apprecieated.
thanks

religious devotion causing devolution
(24 Jun 2009)
as a catholic radical it has come strongly into my attention that the church has become less confident and all together weak...
morality (in my opinion) is very low
liberalsm is at an all time high
i beleive that we are trying to hard to compromise with people, losing old faith, and becoming to people centered. i mean that the people should follow the church not vise versa
we should holdd more firmly to our beliefs not lax in our thouts of moality just to please
seriously our church is more corn...

Has anyone done the 7 Sundays to St. Joseph devotion?
(12 Apr 2009)
I started it yesterday , it is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL devotion!!! Apparently, you can do it any time, but the truly devout start it on the last Sunday of January or first Sunday of February, depending on the year, so that it ends on March 19th, the feast of St. Joseph.
I think I really love it because it's different from all the other prayers I've done before , I'm using the devotional that's in an Opus Dei prayer book that I bought at my parish. I just wanted to share how beautifully surprised...

devoting time?
(15 Apr 2009)
Hi, I'm new to the site!
I've been thinking about joining as a special,
But i'm just wondering how devoting the four hours a week really works?
Do you work along side a Regular for a full shift?
The only problem is I can only do every other weekend due to work, so could i do an eight hour shift every other week?
Cheers!

Embarrassed by an apparent lack of devotion, wearing my Seiko SARB003 for...
(16 Jun 2009)
I was enjoying my modified blazing blue SARB001 so much recently, I felt embarrassed for my apparent lack of devotion to it's black dialed brother!
So I have been wearing the also modified, but much less flamboyant, SARB003 for the last few days. I must say, it is a very sophisticated looking watch, especially compared to it's more colorful brethren.
Remember this variation has a brushed bezel instead of mirror polished, and the dial is made up of very fine concentric rings rather than the sunbu...

Best way to develope perfect pitch/ear training?
(06 May 2009)
I've been thinking about commiting some of my practice time to developing these skills. I've seen a lot of software, CDs, and Books devoted to this. Does anyone know if these products are worth paying for and if so which are best? In general, what is the best way to go about this?
