My history with heeling
(20 Jun 2009)
Heeling is the hardest skill in obedience, in my opinon. I'm not graceful, like many of those I know.
Mindy was a dancer, she has a graceful size 6 body with long and lean muscles. She has balance and grace, has timing, and she does a beautfiul dance with her dog. And not just that dog, a string of dogs who each understand the dance and follow her cues. They look as though they float along together.
Nancy Kelly and her Puli's are among the best in this neighborhood. Rarely does she lose a point o...

Heel...Heel... This could work.
(04 May 2009)
Watching Smackdown, 2 unusual Matches took place. Shelton Benjamin Vs Morrision. and (at the end of the match), Jeff Hardy vs Rey Mysterio.
Heel vs heel.
Face vs Face.
I personally(like most people) dont mind a good face VS face fued. but seeing Heel vs Heel, i loved it. Just like Edge vs Jericho. I wanna see that.
Your opinions?

Reefing order
(29 Apr 2009)
Greetings everyone,
I was reading a thread on reefing over at sailnet and that caused me to think about the order in which we reef our sails as the wind builds. I have an E28+ which is a fractional rig. We do mainly coastal cruising and just don't go out if it's blowin' the dog off the chain. As such I've never had to do more than reef the main to the first reef point and if it gets worse roll up some of the jib to keep heeling and weather helm in line. Now I'm not sure what I would do if that w...

Will Heel & Toe reduce time?
(12 Jun 2009)
Hi, all.
I have a question about heel & toe.
My best time is 1:34:98 on black wood with xfg.
And my gears are obutto cockpit, g25 wheel, nixim mod brake pedal with load cell adapter, & sst gear.
My goal is low 1:34s, but it is very hard.
Fees like it is dream to me LOL!
I was thinking about how to reduce lap time then I was wandering the heel & toe.
My question is that the heel & toe is must have to get a good lap time?
I have not tried heel & toe yet because it is too hard and confuse.
Please s...

Superstars Who Should Be Face/Heel
(14 Jun 2009)
I was thinking about how many WWE Superstars are not connecting right now mainly or partially to do with a forced face/heel turn. Here are some I'm noticing.
MVP- was great as a heel on SD!...not doing so well with the face run.
Matt Hardy- was one of the most "over" babyfaces on the roster before the illogical heel turn.
John Morrison- still sceams heel to me with his entrance and atttire. This guy was a text book heel who was turned face with little explanation and little fanfare.

Neck heel
(08 Jul 2009)
So I'm getting close to start a SC250/ Les Paul build and the other day i was thinking about upper fret access. Does playing a Les Paul feel like playing a strat with a block heel (fender)
I usually play with my thumb wrapped around the neck, so i checked my strat and noticed that the body joins onto the neck at the same fret on the strat and PRS SC (17th fret) which made me even more curious as to the thickness of the neck heel and how upper fret access would be.
I like the look of a Les Paul h...

heeled sandals and shorts
(02 Jun 2009)
I have a question for all you fashion gurus out there: what do you think about heeled sandals and shorts? I'm not talking about dressy sandals or shorts. Not even a city short. Casual shorts and sandals with a heel. We've had this discussion in our office, but keep in mind that here in the middle of America, our tastes and opinions are usually a little more conservative than say the east or west coast. I work with a lady who is in her early 30s. She has a pair of very cute espadrille wedges (2 1...

pedalling with dropped heels - bad idea ?
(28 May 2009)
Hello all.
After experimenting with different types of pedalling techniques (I'm a roadie), it seems to
me that the most efficient for me, especially while climbing, which is a discipline in which I don't
really excel (and therefore need to improve...) is letting the heel drop while pushing the pedal down, and while relaxing the calf muscle of the leg that pushes down, which makes the foot feel rather
passive, and on the down motion of the leg the heel is dropped and the toes are pointing up.
As...

Gel insoles, heel cups or customised orthotics?
(26 May 2009)
Hi all,
I have a pair of Victor VT-7000 shoe and it is a great pair for a shoe but it could do better with its insole cushioning (in my humble opinion).
My situations are:
1. I keep getting blisters only on my left foot, on the inside at the side of the ball of my left foot, though the severity of it has been reduced greatly by wearing Thorlo socks.
2. My heels hurt (mostly my left side, I am right handed) after playing badminton. I play on Saturday 11-12+ pm and then again later at 4-6 pm. I ma...
