1. Re-Applying for Student Visa   (18 May 2009)
Hello All, Last year I applied for a PGD program and my visa got rejected with the following reasons: - Not sufficient ties and I will not return back to Pak. - Considering your employment and academic history and the availability of similar programs of study in Pakistan, my sole purpose is not study... I had 2.5 year of work experience at that time in the field of Software development mainly in e-payment industry. The PGD program I selected was focused on software development side. I only selec...

2. Legal websites?   (23 Apr 2009)
I'm a undergrad planning to go to law school. I was wondering if there are any legal websites that I could read to learn more about corporate and/or constitutional law? A website that discusses precedent legal cases and their importance, current legal issues in that specific field, and legal opinions. Really I'm looking for a website that I can learn a lot about corporate and/or constitutional law on both a basic and advanced level. Is there anything like that out there?

3. Ascia: A D&D 3.5e/4e Mashup/Homebrew Ruleset   (29 Jun 2009)
Ascia: A D&D 3.5e/4e Mashup/Homebrew Ruleset I've always created custom classes and races, I've never been satisfied using anything from the PHB, errata or homebrew I've found online. When 4th Edition dropped I picked it up and overall it's better, but broken down into its constituent parts, there are some areas vastly inferior to 3.5. Unfortunately for me, 4e contains deal-breakers, namely that saving throws are reduced to coin flips, essentially, and magic has been relegated to the Powers syst...

4. Going to the next level   (24 Jun 2009)
Hello everyone. I am looking to go to the 'next level' with my tennis, but I don't know where to begin. I started playing tennis last year, and I am going into my sophomore year in HS. I am going to be moved up to varsity tennis this upcoming season, and I think it is time to start thinking about getting a coach or taking advanced level lessons. I play 6 times a week (family/friends who are on the team) and I am willing to put whatever effort is needed. Please post any suggestions/tips that I co...

5. Spanish   (30 Jun 2009)
I don't know if this is at all the right place to put this thread but I'm gonna put it here anyway cos I dont know where else it could go. I've just finished my first year of university and am thinking about possibly going to live in spain for a year once i've graduated (two years time). I studied spanish at school for 6 years (years 7-12...ages 11 to 17) although I didn't do my Spanish AS Level exam in year 12 despite having studied for the whole year (minus 3 weeks). Anyway, its now been two y...

6. Tuning FOR Water Meth may not be a great idea...   (29 May 2009)
in case of failures involving the controller or running out of meth altogether and being stuck with that on-the-edge tune that often includes advanced levels of timing, more boost on s/c systems and run on the leaner side of the spectrum. Snow makes a product called SafeInjection that may be of interest to those running a water/meth kit of their supercharged or even NA applications. I think it's cheap insurance personally especially after hearing peoples' opinions (like Johan from DiabloSport) o...

8. Was PETA onto something...?   (27 May 2009)
If you recall a few years back, PETA got into some hot water (deservedly so, for a number of reasons) for their offensive fliers that compared human treatment of animals to atrocities like the Holocaust and slavery. But when I was watching the HBO presentation of "Death on a Factory Farm" there was a massive pit where they tossed the bodies of the pigs that were sick or somehow not fit for being meat or continuing to breed. As the camera takes the viewer to the precipice, you see a massive, foul...

9. Kanji (漢字), hiragana, katakana   (24 Apr 2009)
Hey guys, I opened this new thread in order to discuss the 'issue' of kanji in Japanese, which is pretty important and essential (although i think there might be another thread dedicated to the topic, but it's hard to find it) anyway.... For those of u guys who r facing a problem learning the kanji, i ask u just to post any question related to it and i'll be happy to answer to u. Furthermore, I want to discuss the stroke order and its importance in this thread too. As I see it, stroke order is p...

10. The good, the bad and the ugly   (29 May 2009)
So Windia, what makes you tick... what makes your citizens fall into this routine? So what do you play for? Do you play to make connections and meet people around the world? Do you log in to catch the latest drama in the alliance, or hear the new gossip about so and so. Do you log to build memories of the first time you asked how to use a throwing star, or getting those first job advances at level 11... or perhaps the first time you step into that alter with your friends who have been beside you...
