Employee Told by Boss to "Think" About Taking, an Already Approved, Day Off...
(02 Jun 2009)
My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Texas
My husband asked for June 2 off over a month ago. It was approved by his boss. Today, June 1, his boss told him that he'd better "think" about taking the day off. Basically it sounds like to me, his boss is threatening him with his job. My husband told me that this same boss has done this to other employees also. Also, they don't get a lunch break, but it is deducted from their paychecks. Is there anything that can be done?

I just picked one up and I'm torn... Valid practice tool to help you develop
your chops, or gadget?
I already burned an MP3 of myself and listening to it really makes you aware
of where you need some polish. But I'm thinking, keep practicing and the
polish will come.
It's handy to be able to play along with your favorite MP3, slow down the
track, loop a solo, etc. Then record your playing, stand back and check it...

Vox Tonelab LE > Digitech RP500 > or Boss GT-10
(14 Apr 2009)
I'm thinking about getting another multi-FX...mostly for small gigs & recording
Anyone have any opinions on which is the better out of these 3?
I play everything from edgy country, southern rock, classic rock, & 80's metal
I've pretty much narrowed it down to these 3.

Content Boss
(11 May 2009)
I'm thinking about using this service to spin about 30 articles into 100 for submitting to ezinearticles.
Has anyone used it and what is the amount of tweaking you have to do to the articles, expecially if you want to use them for quality article directories.
A lot of the reviews out there are just by affiliates or the owners. I need a genuine user review

Opinions on a dirt boss/what to do?
(14 May 2009)
I work for a real dirtbag. Last Febuary he cut my pay 40% because his dealership is loosing 60K a month. I manage the service department and we do not loose money in service, it all goes out in the sales dept.
Ok I said, desperate times mean desperate measures. I refi'd my house to cut my mortgage by 400.00 a month. I cashed in my 401K to pay off my car loans and have been doing side work just to keep up with bills.
Last Tuesday he comes out and says he is not paying any health care anymore. So...

Boss SD-1 vs. Maxon 808?
(16 May 2009)
At the moment I use a stock Boss SD-1 as a clean boost to my Trem-o-verb and really like it.
I hear great things about the Maxon 808 as being the best but they are super expensive compared to my cheap SD-1. Of course I have never tried the Maxon.
Is the Maxon 808 worth the extra ? Is the tonal differences that great?
Opinions please.

If are capable of doing more than co-workers, is it fair for your boss to...
(19 Apr 2009)
Maybe I'm just venting, but I'd be interested to see others opinions on this.
I'm a midlevel sysadmin for a cable MSP. Without sounding too vain, it's generally accepted that I'm one of the best admins we have on our team (10-12 people). I'm one of the few people who have more than a basic grasp of unix and as such tasks that would talk anyone else on the team hours or days I can generally knock out in much less time. But because of this I constantly feel like I'm being given triple the work loa...
