3. Early Islamic(?) Battle Axe   (11 Jun 2009)
Would love to get some feedback about this item as it is a bit outside my area of knowledge but I probably know enough to either get me in trouble or make a good find. This axe has some characteristics that seem early to me. I lean towards an Islamic origin of this piece based on the shape of the head. I am not familiar with any European battle axe with this shape head. Please correct me if I am wrong. I find it interesting how the blade goes all the way down to the wooden haft, not unlike some...

4. Islamic holy books highlight sex   (18 May 2009)
A paranja or a hijab has become the symbol of sexual humiliation for the Christian world The majority of non-Muslims are certain that there is no sex in Islam. The general perception of the issue has been formed on account of certain Muslim traditions, according to which women, for example, are supposed to wear paranjas, that Islamic women are hostile to the joy of sex, they are not sensitive and that they treat sex like something shameful and dirty. 5. Is Facebook To Iran’s Moderate Revolution What The Mosque Was To Iran’s Islamic...   (18 Jun 2009)

Neither Bin Laden Nor Ahmadinejad Abdul Rahman Al-Rashed A number of people rushed to utilise excerpts of my previous article entitled ‘Electing Obama is Not Enough’ in an attempt to give the impression that I am instigating the new U.S. administration against Muslims. The reason is because I mentioned the acts carried out by Presiden...

the aesthetics of black metal arose from a rebellion against christian tradition, perceived as an ethos of the meek and detracting from the capacity of the individual. you have bands like Dark Funeral who sing quite blatantly about blood rituals and sacrificing virgins in the forest, and more recently you have bands like Deathspell Omega who go into the philosophical basis for rejecting a patriarchal spiritual design by critically examining the material available about christian ideals and incor...
