1. Here's my .2 cents. Think about it, Management   (28 Apr 2009)
I have watched from a distance the ongoing battle to *regain" Truck.Net. I have kept quiet, with minor exception and I figure now is as good a time as any to hit the fan with it. Let me think back a few years to when I lurked here. There were many, many posters...yeah, sure..the Wild West..I saw the other thread. But the truth is, it was a forum where we could come and discuss trucking stuff, gripe about trips, loads, roads, trucks and stoopit stuff. With a lot of humor thrown in. Zigzag, as big...

2. Thinking about my homies   (26 May 2009)
Laying here in bed, thinking about getting up, thinking about my homies (dead and otherwise) holdin' it down in the GBN. Talked with Roady the other day. Sounds like some things never change. Haven't touched the sticks in almost a month. Someone SHOULD be buying the PS3 and games for $350 total any day now. It goes straight to the B-Dawg Legal Defense Fund. This video comes to mind as I think about how I've laid down the sticks and moved on ... T.I. Ft. Justin Timberlake - Dead And Gone (Officia...

3. gearing question 4.10 runing 10.7 thinking about 3.27s   (27 Jun 2009)
my foxbody stang see the street every weekend it's nice, and sees it more then the strip right now it runs 10.7 @123 i forget the exact rpm it's traping at but it's in the 6600+ range it's a 410windsor n/a with a c4 an trans breaked c4 setup, i was thinking about droping it down to 3.27 gear or 3.55 to help drop the cruising rpm down beacuse 55mph is 3300rpm and all of the roads around me are 55, if theres no cars behind me i drive 45 to just keep the rpm down on the motor any how i was wonder i...

4. Michelin Pilot Road vs Pilot Road2?   (29 Apr 2009)
Does anyone have opinions on the upside and the downside of those two tires? I did a search and found lots of threads on Pirelli vs Roads, Metzlers vs Roads, etc but did not see any comparing those two. I am going to get one or the other and wanted to know if anyone had any personal experience with both Roads and Roads2. 2002 BMW R1150R 2004 Honda CBR600RR 2006 Kawasaki KLX250S 2008 Ducati Hypermotard 1100

5. Thinking About getting a Dual Sport   (08 Jun 2009)
Hey guys im thinking about getting a dual sport... drz400, dr650, or xr650. What would you guys recommend? Im planning on just using it to commute back and forth to work (country roads) and do some trail riding every once in a while on the way home from work. What do you guys think would be my best bet? Do i need to do anything special to register it????

6. Thinking about selling the 335i and getting a 328   (21 Jun 2009)
Finished the break-in period, gave the car a wash and decided to go for a quick ride. Holy crap!! This car is fast! Fast, fast, fast! I went out for a quick ride out on some country roads, this car makes my Subaru look like a Prius. No mods, I haven't put in the JB+ I got yet, and I can already see getting a few traffic tickets. She pulls like a freight train, corners like it's on rails and brakes like I threw an anchor out. Okay, I'm just kidding about selling and getting a 328, now I wonder wh...

7. thinking about getting out of riding   (16 Apr 2009)
So as the title says i have thought about getting off the bike for a while. I dont get to ride very often AT ALL anymore. That is due to kids, meetings, softball, church, and so on. yes i can ride to those things (except the kids) but were talkin about literaly a 1-2 miles ride on straight flat roads. Anyone else gone through this? I also dont have as much drive to get out and ride either although i still do have some. So anyway thats what im going though comments? suggestions?

8. Thinking about selling and going auto   (27 May 2009)
Anyone gone from a manual transmission to an automatic without regrets? I have been thinking of selling it and getting the same year/model but automatic. Sometimes I just get tired of the shifting, especially when I am running the A/C and the car lags so much (and there are many roads here that are on hills). Since I use the A/C a lot here, driving the manual requires being even more precise shifting and clutch/gas pedal coordination to achieve a smooth ride (I'm too impatient for that sometimes...

9. Thinking about keeping my bike in NYC   (01 Jun 2009)
Here's my situation. My bike is currently parked in a garage in NJ, at my parents' place (about 1.5 hours away, door to door). I live and work in Manhattan, and only ride on the weekends. I'm considering parking my bike in the city for the riding season. I wouldn't be riding "in" the city much, but riding out of the city to get to nice roads. I'm willing to pay the $200 a month for garage parking, but here are my questions/concerns: 1) I'm a safe rider but I'm no veteran, and I know my skill lev...

10. Thinking about building a house...   (29 Jun 2009)
Yes, I know there was a recent thread from a member regarding the same subject, but I think my situation may be somewhat unique. I would like to rebuild the house I owned in Santa Barbara but I am concerned if it would meet code. The house had at least one wall that was floor to ceiling glass in every room, even the bathrooms. The entire back of the house where the bedrooms and den were located was 100% glass. These glass walls were all sliders. How does that effect fire and energy codes? I foun...
