1. Spare me the outrage Olbermann   (17 Apr 2009)
Ok so here is my problem with Olberman tonight, The only people he ever hase on his show are people who agree with him. I suppose that is ok on Fox but come on Keith... there are two sides to this issue and its irresponsible to insinuate that's yours is the only viable position on this. ANd if this was all so incredibly egregegious of the president If this REALLY has you soooo perturbed... why in the hell are you devoting nearly half of your precious hour devoted to an actor's opinions on right-...

2. Keith Olbermann, Sean Hannity and water boarding   (30 Apr 2009)
Well here is what I wanted people to see, but when I tried to direct people to it, I offended EricSanDgo beyond words about breaking some rule, so I'll just post it here in it's entirety. Keith Olbermann, Sean Hannity and water boarding. Let me start this by stating that I can’t stand Keith Olbermann. I also have a pretty favorable opinion of Sean Hannity. Just thought you needed to know that to give this piece some perspective. OK. Got that out of the way so here we go. Sean Hannity was intervi...

3. What are the Television Shows you Hate the Most?   (01 Jun 2009)
I was thinking about this question as my grandmother changed Olbermann (what she calls shit) to put on How I met your Mother. What are your top 5,10, whatever shows that you despise that are currently on TV? 1. American Idol 2. Two and a Half Men 3. How I Met Your Mother 4. John and Kate Plus Eight 5. The Hills

4. Ge shareholers voice the opinions   (03 May 2009)
In a twist of irony, the historically conservative General Electric , the company that rebuilt the career of Ronald Reagan and sent him from city to city in the late ‘50s and early ‘60s, has become the corporate holding company of some of the most fringe left-wing politics on television. This transformation has GE shareholders, such as us, spitting mad. It all boiled over at the annual shareholders meeting in Orlando. The usually boring annual meeting was the sight of NBC unit chief Jeff Zucker...

5. Torture!   (27 Apr 2009)
Aside from the powerful and explosive rhetoric Olbermann employs, what do you all think about this? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21644133/ The torture/enhance interrogation stuff got old a while ago but with these memos being released interest me. Sounds to me that the fatal flaw of the Bush administration is that they didn't think they would ever lose power. They eventually did and this is the result.

6. Olbermann And Guest Engage in Misogynistic Trashing of Miss California   (02 May 2009)
This story just keeps cranking and cranking, but sure is getting nastier as it goes on. But pure hate and defamation has been flowing on MSNBC in prime time, as we can see. http://townhall.com/blog/g/b7e36801-...3-dba71b62db1c But let's go ahead and have the transcript too: OLBERMANN: There it is there, Miss California is opposed to same-sex marriage, which is at least marriage between two human beings, but she has fully endorsed now marriage between a man and a woman who is partially made out o...

7. Am I the only one who is growing weary of the proliferation of Howard Beales...   (02 Jul 2009)
(repeat of my post in another thread) Even though I agree with most of the MSNBC hosts on most things, I am really tired of the Howard Bealization of cable news. From 6 am to 10 am and then from 5 pm to midnight, MSNBC bombards me with deeply opinionated and often loud talking and bombastic "hosts" who don"t host a thing but instead spends 75 percent of their airtime telling me what THEY think about various topics - day after day after day. I think this is a lazy, cheap way of running a network...

8. Bill O'Reilly/Dr. Tiller Judas Priest/Teen suicides   (03 Jun 2009)
In thinking about the flap over whether O'Reilly "has "Tiller's blood on his hands" I can't help but recall the brouhaha twenty five years ago when parents of kids who killed themselves sued Judas Priest and Ozzy Osbourne for "inciting" or "affecting" their youth. I believe one case even went to trial (Ozzy?) and he was found not negligent/liable. The jury, and most of the rock and roll community, (Frank Zappa was a key defender of music) held that the fault lay with the individual, that anyone...

9. I need proofreading and editing for a ltte to my local paper   (03 Jun 2009)
This is in response to an idiot who owns the Lobster Trap in North Conway and who writes hate filled letters to the editor. The most recent letter asks if we are better off now than before Obama took office and goes into the "birth certificate" of Barack Hussein Obama, calls Ted Kennedy a bloated sot and trashes local liberals by labeling them as chronically mentally ill. Those liberals are his potential customers. I want to submit today. Any suggestions are welcomed. I have included a few expla...

10. Colbert Study: Conservatives don't know he's joking   (03 May 2009)
The Irony of Satire - Political Ideology and the Motivation to See What You Want to See in The Colbert Report Quote: : Heather L. LaMarre; The Ohio State University, HLaMarre@gmail.com , et al This study investigated biased message processing of political satire in The Colbert Report and the influence of political ideology on perceptions of Stephen Colbert. Results indicate that political ideology influences biased processing of ambiguous political messages and source in late-night comedy. Using...
