Well, unfortunately after an update to the MBA we still have to deal with the lines on the displays. There are widely varying lines on the displays, ranging from some reporting NONE to others being able to notice as soon as walking up to the MBA at an Apple Store. None, to some faint lines on light backgrounds, to unthinkably noticeable all of the time. Well, I am sick of dealing with it after returning two MBAs with lines; the first was terribly affected, while the second had extremely minimal...

Question: Surf fishing terminal tackle starter kit

I'm sure there is a thread that refers to this subject already, but I've just spent the last couple hours searching P&S, and have been unsuccessful in locating it.
I am basically interested in opinions of the experienced surf fisherman here, Primarily those guys that fish the OBX.
I would like to create or obtain a "shopping list" if you will, of the basic terminal tackle for bait fishing the OBX in the middle of summer.

No ruck forms at tackle/grubbing around for ball

A comment by ST got me thinking about a potential situation that might develop especially by less skilled teams (the sort I'll be reffing next season):
After tackle no ruck forms and there is a general melee of folks trying to grab ball, kick it away/riping etc. in an individualistic way. How do you manage this scenario?

hi guys, thinking about getting a penn powerstix pro combo which comes with a penn 220gto reel, mono and braid. all for £110.
any one bought this or got any advice on buying boat tackle?
this would be top of budget, i did look at abu seven combo but rod looks a bit naff!

Tarpon tackle - any advice?

Looking for the voice(s) of experience...
New to the board, and new to tarpon fishing. Been fishing offshore for many years, but for no good reason I've never pursued the silver king. This year I intend to change that!
Would appreciate your insights on tackle, primarily reels. I want to make sure I have the proper reels, I am thinking about buying a pair of Calcutta 700's. Are these considered optimal reels for tarpon? I currently own a shimano torium... are those good for tarpon?

It's been about two years since I posted here. I searched the forums and didn't see this topic addressed: Do you prefer the old standard hard plastic tackle boxes, or the new soft bag style, and why?
I used one of the soft bags for about a year and I ended up cutting it open this weekend because it got wet and the zippers rusted closed. I liked the flexibility of the soft bag, and it's quieter working in a SOT, but didn't like the rusty ending. I saw Field & Stream bags have a non-skid,...

Sherpa carrying system for Beta tackle box - any good?

Hey All,
Time has come to get a new tackle box, and looks like im set on a shakespeare beta (good reviews...good price, sorted). But im not sure whether to go for a breakaway conversion or this sherpa carrying system (on veals). Im not worried about having a seat set up (I tend to sit on beach and use box as back rest) But I do want a solid back carrying system that's hard wearing and comfortable. Can anybody who's got either cast their views / opinions?
