Hi All Am considering buying a either an E39 or E60 and am after some general advice:- Firstly - Diesel or Petrol? I owned an E46 320D and struggled to get it to run properly with Turbo issues and in the end i got rid - am i going to get this issue (or is it at all known to be an issue) with either model. Everything i know so far about BMW diesels seem to show that they can be like ticking timebombs - is this the same on the 5 Series? Also, is it worth the extra money to get and E60 over an E39?...

Anybody else had one of these fail ? Popped the helical gears out of my detroit truetrac like crackin a walnut, Just a little to easy to do if you ask me, Got stuck in a ditch an on bout the 7th try gettin out she let go with a bang, Thought i busted a u joint or something, that would'a been nice.
