If Aptera motors plans to use range between SOC at 50% of full capacity to prolong battery life, like in the case of Volt, it would be carrying a lot of dead weight around. Usable energy per unit weight, the Li-Ion could even be worse than the more advanced lead-carbon batteries. Lead-carbon batteries are deemed as disruptive because it improves the number of charge cycles and amount of current it can store and deliver. It is at least at par, if not better than, with the advanced Li-Ion batterie...
