Just rumours at the moment: -

But I was thinking about this the other day, basically comparing the EOS 1D MKIII to the EOS 5D MKII and I think the 1D needs an upgrade!
5D MKII Sensor: 36x 24 mm CMOS
1D Sensor: 28.1 x 18.7 mm CMOS
Effective Pixels:
21.1M (5D MKII)
10.1M (1D)
Image Processor:
DIGIC 4 (5D MK II)
2 x DIGIC III (1D)
1D has a much better AF system (19 cross-type AF points (plus 26 Assist AF points)) compared to 9-point AF (...
