I have watched from a distance the ongoing battle to *regain" Truck.Net. I have kept quiet, with minor exception and I figure now is as good a time as any to hit the fan with it.

Where are the Highest Roads & Peaks Across the US?

Somebody I was corresponding with got me thinking about a question I've had for awhile -- where are the highest paved roads or bike-accessible peaks in each state across the US? I'll start with Texas: During our recent Davis Mountains & Big Bend trip my riding buddy snapped this shot while we were atop the MacDonald Observatory road near Fort Davis, Texas. AMA at the Hampton Roads Convention Center?

I didn't see a thread discussing this, so I thought I'd start one. What are your opinions on the con being held here this year? Personally, it's probably the only reason I'm going back. I love the Embassy Suites and the con center is so nice. I think it may be a bit too big for AMA at it's current size, but it's still better than the con center in Richmond, and ANYTHING is better than that tiny hotel last year.
It's going to feel like it's Nekocon come early, though...

my foxbody stang see the street every weekend it's nice, and sees it more then the strip right now it runs 10.7 @123 i forget the exact rpm it's traping at but it's in the 6600+ range it's a 410windsor n/a with a c4 an trans breaked c4 setup, i was thinking about droping it down to 3.27 gear or 3.55 to help drop the cruising rpm down beacuse 55mph is 3300rpm and all of the roads around me are 55, if theres no cars behind me i drive 45 to just keep the rpm down on the motor any how i was wonder i...

UK roads: How DO we stop the carnage?

In today's RAC website "Motoring News", there is an article called, Road crash investigations 'flawed.
It cites that investigation branches exist for accidents involving air, rail, and water in the UK, but none exists for UK roads. This despite the total over an 11-year period is 504 for air, rail and water, yet 36,781 for UK roads.
