in his youth Dostoyevsky was obsessed with Gogol and considered the book Dead Souls as one of the most well written compositions to the date. At that time, the gogolian universe represented the only term of comparison, at the highest level of creativity, in the russian literature. Dostoyevsky's The Double was considered a reply to Gogol's Dead Souls . The influence in his early works is obvious, but does anybody know any concrete examples in his mature writings that bear the influence of Gogol?...

as far as I can tell the majority of england are against BNP, but what are your honest opinions on them?
I was havign a discussion with my mum, and she doesn't thnik they're racist, they're just trying to to keep britain british and patriotic. she said she thinks a lot of people agree with them but are scared of beign accused as racist.
personally, I have mixed opinions. I do believe there are certain scum in england who don't deserve to be here at all, but at the same times there's some british...

One of C's brothers and his wife (she was my MOH) have split up. He has accused her of having an affair, saying he found evidence of her planning to meet some guy "on the internet" (I'm thinking that means he broke into her email). G-Dogs movie thread made me wonder about the influences we have on our kids and what effects we hope to seed into their upbringing.

I was thinking about this when I was reading about RuneRaiders their closure. I was wondering which clan would have the most effect on the clan world if they closed. A few years ago when DarkSlayers closed the clan world was in shock, would any current (top) clan have that same kind of effect now?

How much influence does recognizing synchronicity have in your day to day...

Lets break this subreddit in. For a while during my high school years I constantly saw synchronicities and used those “signs” as a guide in many important decisions I made. Over the years synchronicity and fallen from the forefront of my mind and I rarely think about it and don't consider it helpful in my decisions. I‘ve thought about really trying to get back into it but I'm kind of jaded I guess.
So I'm wondering how seriously you take this subject and how important it is to you.
