1. Mountain Biking to Road Biking   (12 May 2009)
I'm thinking about getting into road biking, mainly for transportation purposes. I am thinking about getting the 700c Men's Schwinn Carbon Fiber-1000 for $500 and would like to know your honest opinions on its performance in regards to its price. Is there a better bike for less money that can be bought at a LBS? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5585800 And what is the true weight of this bike?

2. New to biking and just bought a new bike   (01 Jul 2009)
I am new to biking and just bought a new bike and I was wondering how it is. Here is the bike I purchased, its a hybrid redline 520. I believe thats it at least, I'd have to check the instructions. Now my girlfriends grandma got her a bike but hers is a $950 trek so when I was at the bike shop I informed the owner what she had and this is the bike he suggested to be able to keep up with her. I bought this one for $360 which was in my price range. I also bought a bike rack, and a few other things...

3. Biking at Provincial Parks   (01 Jun 2009)
Im just starting to think about making plans for the summer and i was thinking biking and camping would be a good thing to try. Im mainly thinking of using a drive-in camp site, and then just bike trails either in the park or near by. If you have done any mountain biking at a park, which park were you at, and were there lots of good trails, any thoughts, opinions, etc. Im not necessarily looking for super single track, just good general trails. Thanks, Charlie

6. Biking in BC   (03 Jun 2009)
I was wondering if anyone from this forum had travelled to BC to do some biking. I was thinking about heading out there with some friends for 4-5 days and checking it out. I have a 5.5 inch travel bike but I do mostly XC riding. I want to try doing some downhill runs but I just want to ride out of the province and BC is the Mecca so I would like peoples opinions and experiences if they have headed out there. Thanks For The Replies Ted

8. Backcountry Biking in the Canadian Rockies guide book?   (27 Apr 2009)
I will be lucky enough to be spending between 8 and 10 weeks out west this summer and was thinking about purchasing Backcountry Biking in the Canadian Rockies by Doug Eastcott to help me plan my trip, pick trails etc. Anyone use it? Are the map usable, or should I just try to source stuff locally? Worth the cash? Thanks

9. Creatine? Lifting and Biking   (04 Jun 2009)
I've heard from a friend that he takes creatine in monthly cycles and he often uses is to enhance his results from lifting and he says it helps him with XC mountain bike races. Does anyone know much about creatine like what it is exactly? If it's safe? If it will even help? I'm thinking about getting some but I know that the guy at the vitamin shop will only tell me about how great it is so I'm looking for some testimony or advice or whatever. Ant help?

10. Biking as exercise   (30 Jun 2009)
what are some thoughts on it. Recently I have been doing anywhere from 30 minute bike rides to 2 hour bike rides with a friend of mine. Long bike rides in the range of 15 miles plus. I am a little overweight about 6'1'' 195 and I am wondering how effective biking is as an exercise, pro's and cons and things to think about to improve the workout etc.
