first off, where do i get Jalapeno seasoning. I hear a lot of people saying this will be to salty, but then i read most people are likely using table salt not kosher salt.

Okay I cop to being creatively weird. But before you keelhaul me for outright insanity, think about the tastes and you'll have to admit .... it all kinda made sense except for one thing, which I will name at the end.
We had:
Grilled calamari. Marinated in a lime and cilantro and fish sauce mix and then grill on very high heat and very quickly. The tentacles were the very best part.
Grilled clams. Just placed on the grill till they opened, the juice drunk from each of them, a clam knife judicious...

Hi Dora,
I found most of the stash of recipes and Lisa uses some of these.
I'll add them here leaving the original 'as is' but add comments where
needed on how you will need to adapt them I think. They may not be glycemic
low enough but they give a base you can take with you tomorrow to the
nutritionist?
You'll see I like Cabbage alot (grin).

Chips
(01 Jun 2009)
Driving back from Louisville to Chicago, I found a reason to like Indiana. The Family Express gas station we stopped at (in Wolcott, I think) carried my favorite potato chips, Uncle Ray's. I knew that some areas of southern Indiana and eastern Kentucky carried them, but as we're not in those areas very often, it was a difficult proposition to track them down. However, with Family Expresses littering the interstate turnoffs, my access levels to these delicious chips go through the roof. I bought...

ICSA XXXVII: Provencal with a Drawl
(27 May 2009)
It's a travesty that I cook so little southern cuisine. It really is. I've lived in Alabama my entire life, I'm no stranger to country life and country food, and both my mother and late grandmother are/were excellent cooks. If I had to nail it down, it would be akin to living in a place your entire life, and yearning to get far away from it as soon as you could. In the end, however, you find just how much you miss home.
I've had a revival of a sort in the past year. I've really grown to apprecia...

(01 Jun 2009)

Y'all know I'm a grilling newbie, and I purchased Steven Raichlen's
"How to Grill" book because it was my impression that his books are
highly recommended.
I'll agree that his how-to techniques are helpful. But does anyone
else find his recipes a bit over-fussed-with?
For instance, the first thing I made with his recipes was hamburgers
with garlic butter inside, so you've got a fat burger with something
in the center....
